Chapter 18

Kelly Brown- Williams 1993
October ~

'All this shit man.....' I said to myself as I shut my locker door as Nick scared me

'I see you didn't see me there' he leaned effortlessly on the lockers as he once again showed of his beautiful smile

'And I think I liked it better that way' I rolled my eyes at his existence

I just want to go home, it's five fucking thirty and I'm still at school.....on a Friday, how sad!

'Yo yo, Kelly-' Nick got my attention '-what's up with the attitude?' He asked me

'I'm still at school, and it's a Friday.....I just want go home' I expressed what I was feeling through frustration

'So this isn't the right time to ask you then' he thought

'What do you want to ask me Nick?' I sighed as I rested the back of my head on the lockers

'Um, I just wanted to know if you were coming tonight, you know......you could bring your friend around' he said as my eyes went wide

Oh shit, I forgot about that!.....well it wasn't like I was planning to go, I hope Kim hasn't bought an outfit for me, I didn't tell her I wasn't going......

'Oh shit!' I said out of shock

'What!' He was curious 'you forgot.....'

'No I could never' I said, then realised 'You want me to come after how you insulted Kayla?' I titled my head at him

'Kelly, I told you I was sorry' he said

'From a note......how could I know if you were being genuine?' I asked

'You can bring Kayla, I won't do anything, I promise' He was practically begging

'I'm more concerned about how the others would act if I bring her around, I don't want her to be upset the whole night then it would be my fault' I said

'Well if you feel that way, you don't have to bring her then' he said which made me want to slap his dumbass

'I don't roll like that, if that's my girl, we go everywhere with each other' I explained 'not one having the time of their life and the other not'

'Look, I didn't mean it by that way' he explained 'I'm just trying to do the right thing because I really do like you and I don't want to mess this up'

My mood changed from looking like a moody bitch to a soft one 'Wait, say that again'

'Say What again?' He was confused

'Nick!' I was about to laugh 'you literally just opened yourself up to me'

'Oh-oohhh' he realised 'Yeah, you sound hella bitchy and I'm not trying to mess things up because I really do like you'

'Wait-' I put my hand out 'not the first part, I'm not being hella bitchy' I cocked my head at him

'Really-you really wanna go there?' He looked at me as if I was the crazy one

'Oh Shut up!' I slapped him lightly on his arm 'you know I just wanna get home and maybe get ready for yours....you know you should be at your place too' I was playing with him

'So you are coming?' He got hyped

Before I could answer his question, the sound of the door opening distracted us both as it made us look to see who it was and judging by the height, the caramel narrowed fingers that I saw first before his face, I knew exactly who it was.......

'Yo DeVante you good?' Nick gave me him some dap as I stood there not even wanting to look in his eyes

'Yeah yeah, how you doing?' He asked him

'Not so bad, you coming?' Nick asked him

'Yeah always' DeVante made sure of his decision

Well that means my ass is staying home then. I wasn't gonna go anyways but if his ass is showing up, my ass is DEFINITELY not going no damn where.

'Alright, see you then' DeVante waves him off as he gave me a look 'Hmm....Justine.......'

The nerve.......

'Don't talk to me' I Shot him a look

'Who the fuck said I was talking to you?' He stopped in his tracks

'Well you must be damn stupid, if you were just talking to yourself then' I pointed out

'Nigga trying to be nice and this is what I get' He acted as if he never caused any trouble

'Nice my ass!'

I struggled with this chapter so much and I'm so sorry if it was terrible.
