(Writers POV)

'You all good now?' Kim asked as she was straightening Kelly's hair

'Yeah I'm fine' Kelly calmly said

'You know he upset Ashley too' Kim said 'I know you probably don't wanna hear it because y'all aren't really-'

'She broke up with him' Kelly finished Kim's sentence 'I hope I'm not the reason'

'What makes you think that?' Kim asked straightening a strand of Kelly's hair

'You know, she knew I was his ex way before I even got here, and they seemed to be good and now that I've gotten here, they aren't anymore' she said

It's not that Kelly feels Like she's ruined Ashley's and DeVante's relationship because she knows she hasn't, but she has this gut wrench feeling from time to time in her stomach that she has.

'Well I damn well know that it's not your fault because you have stayed in your lane to respect Ashley's and DeVante's relationship despite having feelings for him' Kim said 'it's that giraffe looking ass nigga, I don't know what his ass is saying to both of y'alls, but he needs to stop......I'm so fucking glad I didn't give him a chance' she muttered the last part, but loud enough for Kelly to hear

'Wait-' Kelly turned her head 'You and DeVante were a thing?'

'Girl I could've burnt your neck!' Kim removed the straightener near Kelly's exposed skin 'No, me and DeVante were not a thing, but he was trying to force it'

'How comes you turned him down?' Kelly questioned her

'He wasn't over you as yet when he wanted to pursue something with me and I was also starting to have feelings for Dylan at that time' Kim explained

'Imagine if that wasn't the case?imagine if you two were dating?' Kelly spoke her thoughts

'I don't even want to imagine, do you know how messy that would be?' Kim asked 'you coming in as my adopted sister and I'm dating your ex at the same time?'

'Too messy!'

'GIRRLLLLL LOOK AT YOU AND YOUR SISTER!' Mary gassed both Kelly and Kim as they came into the house 'Y'ALL DIDN'T COME PLAY!'

'Same as you sis' Kelly smiled as she handed Mary's present

'Happy birthday Mary!' Kim said as she gave her a hug

A couple hours went by as Just kickin' it by Xscape came on as many people crowded the living room, dancing their asses of. During that time, K-Ci and DeVante who was sipping on a punch, crashed on the couch as they watched the crowd.

K-Ci's eye caught Kelly as he watches her carefully in her black silk short bodycon dress that hugged her curves perfectly as she went over to get a drink.

'What are you looking at?' DeVante asked him over the loud noise

'Nothing' K-Ci lied as he resorted back to looking at Kelly's behind

DeVante looked at K-Ci strangely as he tried to examine his eyes as to where they were looking. DeVante swiftly turned his head as he scanned the crowded room only to see Kelly. His gut was telling him to look away but his head was telling him to continue. He couldn't lie to himself and say that Kelly didn't look good, because she did. It was even more wrong for K-Ci to be way more aroused than DeVante was over her as he had a whole girlfriend, but as the saying goes, men think with their dicks, not their mind.

'I don't know how you let her go.....' K-Ci accidentally let his thoughts slip out his mouth

'I didn't let her go!' DeVante said back in defensive still eyeing Kelly

'So tell me why you're still looking at her hard?' K-Ci challenged him

'How long have you been watching me?' DeVante asked as he turned his head to face K-Ci

'That's not my point-' K-Ci Said '-your dumb ass made the wrong move running her away from you......again'

'What y'all talking about?' Mary came over as she sat herself on K-Ci's lap

'Don't you think DeVante needs to talk to Kelly?' K-Ci suggested

'Hell Yeah, But Kelly ain't no dummy-' Mary said

'Don't you think I know that?' DeVante said as he got up from his seat

'So you going to talk to her?' K-Ci looked up at DeVante

'No, I'm going to get more punch' he lied

DeVante walked through the crowded people to find Kelly partying with Kayla, Kim and Mya.

'Can I talk to you?' DeVante whispered in Kelly's ear

'What do you want?' Kelly seemed slightly agitated

'Give me five minutes' That was all DeVante asked for

'Alright then' Kelly said walking through the people with DeVante, as they went to a quieter area 'you have five minutes, speak!'

'Yo why are you rushing me, what's gonna happen if I take my time?' DeVante was getting too comfortable around Kelly

'Do I look like I wanna be played with at this minute?' Kelly placed her hand on her hip

'Look, I just wanted to say I'm sorry' DeVante said as Kelly scoffed

'Why are you sorry? Are you sorry because I reminded you that you never said sorry to me in the first place? Are you sorry because you genuinely mean it? Or are you sorry just so you can clear up your conscience?' Kelly started questioning him

'Everything that you just said' DeVante said

'You know what, this was a waste of time-' before Kelly could finish muttering under her breathe as she was on her way walking out the room, DeVante grabbed her wrist to pull her back

'Look, I mean it' DeVante said while Kelly stared daggers into his eyes then his hand which was still wrapped around her wrist

'Yeah, aight......' Kelly yanked her arm away from DeVante, walking of afterwards
