'Ohh this party gon be off the chain' Kim started running her mouth about her birthday party she's been planning for some time

'Chill, your birthday is in two weeks I swear' we were walking through the hallways, towards the cafeteria

'Yeah I know, but a girl gotta get her planning out of the way now before it's too late' Kim said as I nodded my head

Seconds after, Kim decided to approach her friends as I saw Mary and Kayla sitting with the boys.

'Look-' I saw Kayla and Mary 'there's no hard feelings........I was just feeling tired last night'

'Yeah......we cool' Mary said

'I just find it hypocritical for you to tell me that I'm entertaining two people when you were kinda entertaining two people at the same time yourself' Kayla said which made me look at her funny

'Uh Oh......' I could hear K-Ci say under his breath

'Who the hell was I entertaining at the same time Kayla?' I laughed awkwardly

'You told us you were going to give Nick another chance which you did, but remember when you were all over your history-'

'No I wasn't all over him, and this ain't about me, that hasn't got anything to do with you!' I partly lied as I got defensive really quickly

What the hell does she know about me and Mr Daniels?.........whatever I did with that man, I wanna erase it.

I cannot let Mary and Kayla alongside Dalvin, K-Ci And Jojo know about this or word would get out.

'Chill Kelly She was just-'

'No you chill, she doesn't have the right to being all up in my business, that's why I have real trust issues man, I keep telling people shit and they always wanna come with a motherfucking opinion' I lashed out

'Kelly I'm right here, don't use my name in third person' Kayla said

Who the hell gave her this confidence?

'Look I'm not trying to start anything, just give me a few.......' I walked going straight to sit next to DeVante

I'm not here for all this bickering shit, I'm going to be mature, and calm myself so I can speak to my friends like a civilised person. This ain't kindergarten, when one little bitch throws a massive tantrum over a stupid thing another little bitch did.

'You wanna go and talk somewhere else?' DeVante whispered in my ear

'Okay' I said

'Where y'all going?' K-Ci asked 'I swear to god y'all weren't-'

'Well we good now!' DeVante said as we both got up to go somewhere else quieter

'You know my girl would kill me if she saw me with you' DeVante laughed to himself as we found a spot outside on the benches

'She told you to stay away from me, didn't she?' I wasn't too surprised

'Yeah......pretty much' DeVante agreed

'You know-' I paused, looking up at him before I said my next line '- I don't wanna sound mean but-'

'What do you see in her.......I get that a lot, especially from Dalvin' he rubbed his chin

'She's really pretty but her attitude, what's up with that?' I was curious

'To be honest, I wasn't really attracted to her at first, she was never my type' he admitted 'I heard a rumour or two that she really liked me and I was like- oh well, let me give it a try. She's a lot, but we both vibed really well together and she's fucking beautiful as well which is a bonus'

'Oh, I'm sorry.....um I didn't mean it in that way......' DeVante apologised as he realised my change of mood was different

'It's- it's totally fine.....' I lied

'So......um what was going on with you and Kayla?' DeVante changed the subject

'Just a little disagreement, it wasn't nothing much.....'

'Now you're lying to me' he laughed 'you looked like you were going to start throwing hands'

'No I wasn't!' I quickly said 'that's my girl at the end of the day, I couldn't do that to her'

'So what happened then?' He was eager to find out

'Okay its a long story but me, Mary and Kayla were on the phone last night, and she was saying how she thinks she loves Dalvin and whatever.......you know how they both like each other......' he nodded his head 'so Kayla has been seeing this other guy Lucky that works at the same place as Dalvin and Kay-'

'I knew that name sounded familiar' DeVante said

'Hey!' I hit his knee 'I wasn't finished- now as I was saying, I reminded her about Lucky, you know because she cannot be entertaining two men at the same time, also I found it weird how she could love someone like that and she's not even in the relationship with them. Then she thought that-'

'Yo Kelly just tell me what happened today- this story is taking too long' DeVante stopped me

I did tell him........

'Okay' I rolled my eyes 'I didn't want the girls to think there was bad blood between me and them, so I came to ask if everything was okay, then next thing Kayla was calling me a hypocrite.......telling me I can't say shit because I was entertaining Nick and Mr- ohhhhhhh, now I see where she was coming from' I caught myself out

'Ohhh What?' DeVante looked at me strange 'and when on earth did you and Nick start seeing each other?'

'Ohh, because I realised what she meant by me being hypocritical and why do you care if I'm seeing Nick?'

Well I'm not really, just giving it a second try.

'Jeez I was just asking' he put his hands up in surrender

'And no I'm not seeing Nick, I just wanna see where things go' I said

'Well make sure he doesn't be the dickhead boyfriend I was to you' DeVante Laughed

'You wasn't a dickhead boyfriend- but you're still a dickhead in a way........' we both laughed as it died down second later, leaving our eyes to wander in each other's

'Well.......' DeVante broke out 'I think we should get going before Ashley tries to start some funny shit' he laughed awkwardly as I started shuffling

'Yeah, we should do that' I agreed
