My Story: Kelly

Chapter 71

(Writer's POV)

'You didn't answer any of my phone calls yesterday........is everything okay?' Nick asked Kelly as they both entered the classroom

Kelly didn't want to answer Nick's calls for a very good reason. She was too stuck on what could've happened if Nick never interrupted the moment that she shared with DeVante. DeVante was on her mind the whole night, she couldn't eat or sleep right. She felt herself slowly loosing feelings for him at first because she knew DeVante didn't want her anymore, but something in her gut told her to switch them back on as Kelly knows for a fact DeVante is slowly- very slowly reverting back to his own ways and maybe might be feeling something.

'Um.....I wasn't feeling well yesterday......Just a little headache' Kelly lied as she walked over to her seat

'Oh okay, I thought you were trying to avoid me' Nick Laughed it off 'well imma head to my seat before Mrs Coleman shouts at my ass' He said before giving a peck on Kelly's forehead unexpectedly as her heart warmed up

Kelly felt all giddy inside as she tried to hide the shy smile that came cross her face with her hand.

Ashley came into the classroom with DeVante and as usual before she went to her seat, she followed DeVante to his as she gladly sat on him.

'You alright De?' Ashley held his face gently as she seemed very concerned

'Y-Yeah, I'm fine' DeVante said as he was staring into space then his eyes automatically landed on Kelly

'Well you're not being affectionate with me and that's not you' Ashley reslised

'Ash, were in a English classroom, not the bedroom' DeVante randomly said as Ashley mean mugged him

'Urgh whatever!' Ashley got up from him as she stormed all the way to her seat

Ashley wanted to automatically blame Kelly for DeVante acting up strangely but she had no evidence to back it up as she never really saw Kelly and DeVante together. She knew she would absolutely be crazy if she went up to Kelly and asked her what she had been up to with her man DeVante and Kelly would've flat out cussed her out......so she decided to pay no mind to her as she got into her seat.

'Ah, this is different' Mrs Coleman came into the classroom smiling 'I don't see Ashley and DeVante together.......Nick finally has his ass in a seat and it's awfully a lot quieter, y'all alright?' She Laughed to herself

Kelly took the time to turn around to see Nick after Mrs mentioned his name to see how he would react, only for him to be rolling his eyes then showing a smile to Kelly as her heart warmed up again.

Seconds afterwards, she turned around to see what DeVante was doing, not really hoping that he would be looking at her but when he did, Kelly's heart raced as she turned around in her seat very quickly in shock. DeVante displayed a confused look on his face before smiling to himself.

'Is everything okay Kelly?' Mrs Coleman asked as she nodded

While Mrs Coleman was explaining the lesson plan to the students, Kelly turned around once again to see what DeVante was doing as he rose his head and smiled at Kelly as she smiled right back.

'You know, I think Lucky might want to make our relationship official' Kayla said 'you know like boyfriend and girlfriend'

'Ohh y'all would look so cute together' Mary squealed as Kelly was giving Dalvin the side eye

'What' Dalvin spoke with his eyes to Kelly

'You need to tell her' Kelly spoke with her eyes also as she tilted her head to Kayla

'About what?' Dalvin squinted his eyes as he scoffed, shrugging his shoulders

'You like her' Kelly Widen her eyes as a small smirk appeared

'No I don't' Dalvin's eyes went wide, shaking his head rapidly as both Kelly and Dalvin knew that he was lying

'Really........' Kelly wasn't convinced with Dalvin's answer

'Look aight aight........I'll tell her......' Dalvin said

'Tell who what?' Mary was being nosey

'Kayla, can I talk to you?' Dalvin asked

'Yeah.......go on.......' Kayla shrugged her shoulders

'No, like.......somewhere private' Dalvin said

'Oh no, you can tell me here.......' Kayla didn't seem to have a problem

'Well okay, if you insist........' Dalvin murmured

'Here we go........' Kelly said to herself

'I really really like you and I can't stand you with other niggas' Dalvin finally told her

'Oh wow, now that you see someone loving me when you had the chance to do that long time ago, you want to start telling me how you really feel' Kayla stood up from her seat before she walked off

'Oh that was not the reaction I was expecting to see' Kelly twisted her lips as DeVante snickered at her reaction

'Jeez thanks a lot Kelly' Dalvin mean mugged her as she was lost for words

'I ain't know-' Kelly's voice went higher

'What did you tell him?' DeVante asked

'Well I knew Kayla liked him but Dalvin was playing and now that he likes her it's all my fault' she shrugged her shoulders as she laughed a little

'Well........' DeVante looked at her as if it was her fault but it wasn't

'Shut up!' Kelly playfully rolled her eyes

So I just wanted to say that the last two chapter including this one, is all set in the month April.

Also guys I won't be updating daily like I've been doing since my summer holiday started. I'm going back to school tomorrow and I really need to work hard as I've got two more years of studying before I start applying for Universities.

This book may take sometime but I'll guarantee you that I will finish writing up the book.
