Spencer woke up and saw Maeve wasn't next to him. He got up and walked into the Nursery and saw her over one of the cribs. He walked up behind her and kissed her neck as she smiled. Then he walked over to the other crib. Both babies were still sleeping. "We should go before they wake up." Spencer suggested and she laughed. "Good idea." Maeve agreed. They both walked out and quietly closed the door. "I'll make breakfast." Spencer told her. "And I'll do the dishes." Maeve told him. They both walked downstairs and into the kitchen. They began making breakfast and doing the dishes.
The baby monitor went off once Maeve was almost done with the breakfast and Spencer was done with the dishes and the table was already set. "I'll go get them." Spencer told her and Maeve nodded. "Good idea." Maeve agreed. Spencer walked upstairs and into the Nursery. He picked up his daughter and then his son with his other arm. He rocked them for a minute until they quieted down. He smiled down at them and walked downstairs. Maeve had already put the breakfast on the table. It was french toast and milk to drink. "Look who's up." Spencer commented. Maeve took Scott and put him in his high chair as Spencer put Bethany in her high chair. "I'll make the formulas." Maeve told him and he nodded. Spencer sat in the dinning room with their kids as Maeve walked back into the kitchen and grabbed the baby bottles.
They finished their breakfast while their kids were still drinking their bottles. There was a knock on the door and Spencer opened it to find two people he didn't know while Maeve went upstairs to take a shower. "Hi. May I help you?" Spencer asked. "I'm Joe Donavon, and this is my wife, Mary Donavon." Joe replied. "Donavon? Are you related to Maeve Donavon?" Spencer asked and they smiled. "We are." Mary replied. "Wow." Spencer commented. "We have been tracking her for quite some time, we haven't see her in ages." Mary told him. "And we tracked her to this house." Joe added. "Maeve is my wife." Spencer told them and they widened their eyes. "We hadn't realized she got married." Mary told him. "Please, come in." Spencer told them. They walked inside and Spencer closed the door behind them. Joe and Mary saw the babies in the high chairs. "Are those yours and Maeve's?" Joe asked. "Yes. They're five months old." Spencer replied. "They're so adorable." Mary commented. "She's Bethany and he's Scott." Spencer introduced. "I would love to get to know them." Mary told him. "I'm sure Maeve wants that too." Spencer told them and they put on small smiles.
Maeve walked downstairs in a robe and her hair wet from the shower. She gasped when she saw her parents as they turned to look at her. "Maeve, it's really you." Mary commented. "What are you guys doing here?" Maeve asked. "We've been looking for you." Joe replied. "Why?" Maeve asked. "Because we missed you. We haven't seen you since you were sixteen." Mary replied. "Sixteen?" Spencer asked. "Yes, that's when she ran away from home, and was never seen in our home town again." Joe replied. Maeve sighed as she locked eyes with her husband. "I was never a small town girl, I have always been a city girl." Maeve told them. "But why run away from not just the town, but us?" Mary asked. "I have my reasons." Maeve replied. "Please, just talk to us." Mary pleaded. "I can't. Not now." Maeve told them and Spencer sighed. "But we do have a spare room you can stay in temporarily." Spencer told them and they both smiled. "But that room is going to Scott once the twins are older and need separate rooms, the Nursery will be Bethany's room." Maeve told him. "And that won't happen for a couple of years. Your parents can stay here temporarily." Spencer told her an she sighed. "Fine." Maeve agreed. "You guys can go settle in." Spencer told them. "First, we need to get our bags from the cab. We'll be right back." Joe told them and Spencer nodded. "Okay." Spencer agreed. He watched as they left.
Maeve turned toward Spencer. "Why did you invite them here?" Maeve asked. "Because they're your parents." Spencer replied. "They were hardly my parents when I was a kid, and they're hardly my parents now that I'm an adult. I haven't seen them in fifteen years, and I don't need to now." Maeve told them. "Look, Maeve. I never really got to know my dad and I love my mom, but she wasn't always there in the head. Your parents are here, and have looked for you since the day they lost you. They're trying, I think you should try too." Spencer explained and Maeve sighed. "Maybe you're right. Maybe I can try to give them a chance." Maeve agreed and Spencer smiled. "I'm glad." Spencer commented. "I love you." Maeve told him. "I love you too." Spencer agreed.
Maeve finished brushing her teeth and put on one of Spencer's shirts, like she normally does when she's going to bed. Spencer stepped out of the ahower, dried off and put on his pants. He walked back into his room and saw Maeve was getting the bed ready. He walked up behind her and put his arms around her and put his chin on her shoulder. She straightened up and smiled. Spencer kissed her cheek. "I love you." Spencer told her. "I love you too." Maeve agreed. "I'm going to check on the twins." Spencer told her. "Okay." Maeve agreed. Spencer walked into the nursery and looked at the two babies in their cribs. He looked at both of them and watched as they slowly fell asleep. He walked out, turning off the light and closing the door. He walked back into his room and saw Maeve was already in bed. He smiled at her and laid down next to her. She turned to her side and he put his arm around her as they both closed their eyes.
