Chapter 32: Another Language Part 1!

    The team were on the jet, almost to their destination. David sat across from Emily and Aaron as Derek answered a video chat on the computer from Penelope. "So, I just got some more information. The crucial witness is in the Sherriff's Station, but she only speaks French, and they can't get a translator." Penelope replied and they all looked at Emily. "I guess the first thing I'm doing is talking to the witness." Emily commented and Aaron nodded. "Okay. Emily and Rossi will go to the witness. Reid and I will go to the crime scene. Morgan and JJ will talk to the latest victims house." Aaron ordered and everyone nodded. "I'll see you guys later. Garcia out." Penelope commented and hung up. The case is that four teenage girls went missing and were found in the park in only their bra and underwear and their hair's were tied back in a ponytail. "We'll be landing soon, so everyone get ready." Aaron told them.
     The jet landed and Emily and David immediately went to the Sheriff's Station, and the Sheriff showed them to the room with the witness. "Thanks." David commented. "No problem." Sheriff Wilson commented. She walked away as Emily and David walked in. Emily sat across from the witness, Olivia Miller, as David stood behind Emily with his back against the wall. "Bonjour, je m'appelle Emily Prentiss." Emily greeted. "Bonjour, je m'appelle Olivia Miller." Olivia greeted. "J'ai entendu dire que vous êtes un témoin crucial dans cette affair." Emily told her. "C'est vrai, mais j'ai peur." Olivia told her and Emily nodded. "Je comprends, mais vous avez ma promesse d'être sous notre protection." Emily told her and she took a deep breathe. "What is she saying?" David asked. Emily turned to look at him. "She's afraid, but I told her we will protect her." Emily replied and David nodded. "Okay." David agreed. Emily turned back to Olivia. "Qu'as- tu vu?" Emily asked. "Je rentrais de l'école à pied avec ma meilleure amie, Maxine Brenson." Olivia replied. "Maxine Brenson n'est-elle pas la dernière victime?" Emily asked and Olivia sighed. "Oui." Olivia replied. "Je suis vraiment désolé." Emily commented. "Quoi qu'il en soit, Maxine et moi sommes partis chacun de notre côté. Pour aller chez nous, nous avions prévu de nous retrouver dans notre lieu secret dans une heure." Olivia explained.
     JJ and Derek walked up to Maxine Brenson's house. JJ knocked as a women with short red hair answered it. "May I help you?" Ms. Brenson asked. It's obvious that she's been crying. Derek and I both showed her our badges. "I'm Agent Morgan and this is Agent Jearou. We're with the Behavior Analysis Unit in the FBI, and we're hoping we could ask you a few questions." Derek replied and Ms. Brenson nodded. "Of course, come in." Ms. Brenson agreed. They walked inside and closed the door behind them. Then she gestured for them to sit on the couch. "Ms. Brenson, is your husband around?" JJ asked. "He ran out on us when Maxine was little. It's been just me and her up until now." Ms. Brenson replied and JJ sighed. "I'm so sorry." JJ told her. "Thank you." Ms. Brenson commented. "Was Maxine acting different before she was kidnapped?" Derek asked. "Maxine was always a very open person. Shared everything to me and her best friend, Olivia. But the last week before her disappearance, she was acting secretive. Always locking her bedroom door and always messaging someone on her laptop. She even put a password on her laptop, she didn't do that before." Ms. Brenson replied. "She was probably messaging the Unsub." Derek suggested. "That's what I was thinking." JJ agreed. "Unsub?" Ms. Brenson asked. "Unknown Subject. The person doing the killing or kidnapping that we catch." Derek replied and she gasped. "Why would my daughter be messaging this maniac?" Ms. Brenson asked. "It could be a number of reasons." JJ replied. Ms. Brenson sighed. "Could you give me a moment?" Ms. Brenson asked and they nodded. "Of course." JJ agreed. They watched as Ms. Brenson stood up and walked into the kitchen. "I'll call Hotch and tell him what we know so far." Derek told her and she nodded. "Good idea." JJ agreed. Derek stood up and paced as he dialled Aaron's number.
     Aaron and Spencer wete examining the park, where crime scene banners were placed all around it. Aaron was on the phone with Derek. "Okay, thanks for letting me know." Aaron commented. "No problem." Derek agreed. They hung up and Aaron walked over to Spencer. "What did Morgan say?" Spencer asked. "That Maxine was acting secretive before she was kidnapped, and they think she was talking to the Unsub." Aaron replied. "That would explain why the Unsub grabbed the girls so easily." Spencer commented and Aaron nodded. "Probably." Aaron agreed. "I found something." Spencer told him. "What is it?" Aaron asked. "There's fresh blood on the side of the swing set." Spencer replied. "That means this isn't just the dumping ground. They bring them here and kill them at this spot." Aaron commented. "That would explain why the body was found in an odd positon. It wasn't kaid out all nice and neat." Spencer told him. "And it also means that the Unsub doesn't care about the victims. They just use them until they're done and throw them away." Aaron added. Spencer looked up at Aaron. "If the Unsub is messaging his victims before he kidnaps them, then maybe Garcia can track thrm down and we can get to the next victim before he does." Spencer explained and Aaron's eyes widened. "That's brilliant." Aaron agreed.
      Aaron dialled Penelope's phone number and put it up to his ear. "Garcia, talk if you dare." Penelope greeted. "Garcia, I have a pretty big job for you and it could take a while." Aaron told her. "Shoot and I will score." Penelope agreed. "I need you to look up all the red head teenage girls in this town and track down everyone they've been messaging on their phones or laptops, and find anyone similar with that list." Aaron explained and Penelope nodded. "I'm on it. Don't wait up." Penelope told him. She hung up as Aaron and Spencer kept looking around the park.
