And authors need to understand this:
In any movie or book, if at all the character needs to prove allegiance or anything which requires one to cut their palm and show blood, DON'T CUT THE PALM. AS A SCIENCE STUDENT, I WOULD LUKE TI CLARIFY, THAT THERE ARE MANY ESSENTIAL NERVE ENDINGS AND BLOOD VESSELS IN THE PALM AND CUTTING IT MAY CAUSE SERIOUS INJURIES. Yeah, consider cutting off some skin from the back of your arm, like above the elbow or something, but definitely not the palm. Phew, that was aggressive wasn't it?
