Aging and Soulmates

So imagine a world wherein at the age of 18, you will stop aging if you find your soulmate.
Imagine you and your soulmate moving in together at 18 and realizing at the age of 28 that you haven't aged a bit or that you have ages together without actually realising it!

But then there would be people who would rather reign eternal.
Imagine purposely not finding your soulmate to live forever.

Haven't we just stumbled upon the best Romance and adventure story?

What if someone purposefully killed their soulmate to avoid aging and dieing.

So here's my story idea: So the main antagonist keeps killing their soulmate for centuries whenever he finds her and the protagonist is the newly born version of the soulmate. And that, my friend, is quite a thought.
