The next day
I had woke up to all of use laying on the couch.
I was laying in between Jess' legs and Zak was cuddled up with my belly.
I yawned and stretched I had heard something and I woke up Zak.
"Babe" I tapped his shoulder.
He mumbled in response.
"Get up for a sec" I said getting up.
He was skeppy but lifted his body up and I slide away and he lasted back down in jess' lap.
"Wow just take my spot I was coming back later you know"I whispered.
He hummed again and was going to sit up until I got back.
"No no I'm kidding lay back down" I said as he did as told.
I got up and looked out of the door.
I locked every door and closed every window.
I don't know why I did I just felt like I needed to.
I was extra protective ever since the accident.
I sighed and made my way back to the couch to Zak falling off.
"I- youre fall-"
"Let him fall" Jess said pushing him off and turning to cover herself with blanket.
"OH-" I said rushing to make sure zak didn't hit his head.
"Hmm" he mumbled.
"I saved your life" I joked.
"Yes, yes you did" he said opening his eyes and smiling.
"Precious boy" I said laying my hands on his face.
"Alright imma head out" Jess stretched.
"You don't want to stay for breakfast?" I asked.
"I can't I have a child at home" she stated.
"Huh?" zak asked.
"Her dog" I said.
"Ohh yea that makes sense" zak said making me let out a light laugh.
"Alright Jess bye" I said as she yawned and headed towards the door.
"Drive safe dork" I said as she left.
"Yeah yeah I got it old lady" she retorted.
"Excuse me?" I asked.
"Oh nothing" I said.
She left soon enough and I made my way back to the living room.
"Baby" Zak mumbled reaches out to me like a child.
I smiled and walked towards him and he had out his hands on my hips.
"Lets have a day today just to relax" Zak said.
"Ok" I said.
"What are we going to do?" I asked.
"How about we stay home and have a pillow fort?" he said.
I smiled.
"That sounds perfect" I said.
He ran up the stairs clapping his hands like a dork.
I sighed and went to the closet to get the extra pillows and blankets.
He walked down stairs with tons of pillows and blankets and he was no where to be seen it was only blankets and pillows.
"You good?" I asked smiling.
"Hye fm hoog" he was muffled by the blankets.
"Huh?" I asked moving the blankets from his face.
"Yeah I'm good" he said smiling.
He dropped the blankets and Laid on the pile of blankets and pillows like if I was floating on white fluffy clouds.
"I can lay like this forever" I said smiling but eventually I got up as I had to move things around to make the actual fort.
Zak helped me move most of the stuff around and I helped just looked for every blanket and pillow.
I got an idea and ran up to my room and get led lights.
"This is going to be cool" I said running back downstairs like a child in Christmas.
Zak was almost dont with the fort
He had put the couches back to back but had left space for where we were going to lay of course.
I crawled inside the fort and around the corners put the lights on the floor because I couldn't hang them. I connected them to an extension cord that Zak has put so we could charge our phones in the fort.
I connected everything and set the color to white and watched as the fort lit up.
I don't know why but for some reason this brought me so much happiness.
"I DID IT" I yelled as my face lit up.
"Alright here's the pillows and blankets left over" Zak said putting the stuff in the fort.
"LOOK I DID IT" I pointed to the lights.
He gave a light laugh before smiling about how happy some cheap lights made me.
"Hey a little goes a long away ok" I said.
He sat down in the fort as I decorated the inside with pillows and blankets to make us comfortable.
"This was fun" I said finally falling into the soft blankets.
I sighed and my back stretched which felt really good.
( ok but real talk does that ever happen to anyone, like you lay down and your back gives off that feeling that just feels good idk how to explain it but yea)
Zak looked over and me and just stared.
"What you looking at" i furrowed my brows.
"Oh nothing" he said looking away.
"I love you" I said as he didn't respond.
"Hello" I said again.
"Hey earth to zak" I waved my hands in front of him.
"Hmm" I said as I laid my head in his lap.
"Hey dingus" I said grabbing and squishing his cheeks to look at me.
He paused for a second and I started to laugh.
"What?!" He asked.
"You looked so adorable with your cheeks squished" I giggled.
"Well you look adorable all the time" he said in defense.
"Well so do you" I argued back.
"nO yOu" he screeched.
"Ok oW my ears I'm right here" I said laughing a little.
"Sorry" he said.
"It's ok" I said smiling back.
Today was perfect.
