I hurried downstairs as I was late for school again for the third time this week knowing that I would most likely get in trouble with my parents. I skipped breakfast and left for school. I arrived an hour late and to my horror I was immediately dragged into the principal's office and was told that my parents will be suspending my trip to the beach that was meant as a present because today April the ten is my eighteen birthdays, oh what joy. I rolled my eyes as I made my way to my class as if I could care less if I go to the beach or not. The teacher shook his head in disappointment as he knows very well that I have never been late no more than one time yet alone three. I walked to my desk only to be stopped by my teacher calling out my name...

"Um Melody, have you forgotten that today you were supposed to show the new students around the school?"

My cheeks brightened up with embarrassment as I scanned the room and found two new students that looked rather unpleasantly serious as I am sure that they have been waiting for me for an hour and a half now...

I walked up to them and apologized for my lateness and told them to follow me. I showed them around for like an hour or so until they suddenly decided to go off on their own. I let them go because in reality I hated everything. I found myself outside in the baseball field sitting on the bleachers just minding my business when the two guys showed up with a third unknown male. This third guy was tall and rather handsome with a stone-cold glare yet beautiful ocean color like eyes with a hint of earth in them. Black short hair and a slight shaved face. His clothing screamed fancy as well, who is this guy I wonder to myself?

This devilish handsome guy that stood a few feet away simply eyeballing me. The other two guys who hadn't even introduced themselves stood next to him as if they were his bodyguard or something. I decided to say hello and introduce myself yet once I made my way to them a chill ran through me, and it seemed to have made my heart accelerate....

Something about the third guy made my body crawl with goosebumps. It was as if I was looking at a ghost....

Yet I still introduced myself as I was about to speak. One of the guy's cut me off. "Melody, is it? thanks for showing us around but we got it now". His expression was rather irritating with my presence being so near them, yet I shrugged it off and nodded my head backing up from them and walked off...

Well, that was rude.

As the day went by, I couldn't help but keep thinking about this person that has somehow buried itself within my mind, and I couldn't help but feel like I somehow knew this devilish handsome guy as well as the other guys who spoke too...

As class lingered on, my mind drifted into the past, a past I wish would stop swimming back to me. I bit my lower lip as anxiety arose within me as the memories of my past danced around in my head making it difficult to think. As the bell rang, I gathered my belongings and headed to my favorite class of the day...

My life is complicated, and my past holds so much pain that each time I remember it I lose myself in despair. I grow depressed and slowly become a wreck of chaos as if my pasts hold onto me like a blood sucking leach...
