I really love how all of you have started to think like me... and even give me ideas with your guesses... Love you all... this update is dedicated to those who had guessed the visitor in the last update.
A well dressed, modern lady stood at the door. Bela had never seen her before. But since she had come knocking at their door, she was a guest... and had to be given due respect.
"Aaiye, aaiye behenji." Bela cleared the doorway, inviting her in.
The lady took off her sunglasses, but did not smile... neither returned the greeting.
"Yeh Anand Agarwal ka ghar hai?" She asked in a haughty tone.
"Jee, jee... aap aiya na... main bula deti hun unhe... main unki patni, Bela." She folded her hands, a bright, welcoming smile on her face.
The visitor walked in, looking around the house with distaste.
"Aap baithiye... main inko abhi bula ke laati hun." Bela waved at the sofa before rushing in.
Anand came out shortly, followed by his wife. He folded his hands, curious about the identity of the lady who definitely looked like she belonged to a very rich family.
"Jee namaste, main Anand Agarwal... aap baithiye na... Bela inke liye chai banao." He said politely.
The lady stalled them with a raised hand, "Inn sab formalities ki koi zarurat nahi hai... mujhe aap logo se kuch khaas baat karni hai... mera naam Vishakha Somani hai."
Anand's face suddenly turned a little hard while Bela continued to smile... the name having no meaning to her.
He looked at his wife, "Pehle chai bana do, fir nashte ka intezam karo... subah ke time Sameer ki maa hamare ghar se bina naashta kiye kaise jaa sakti hain."
Bela looked up at him with a startled expression, looking back at the lady... she could not believe this was the woman who had practically disowned her own son to bring up a step son.
"Bela, jao... mehmaan ko intezar nahi karwate." He knew the effect on his wife, urging her to go inside to absorb this information.
"Dekhiye, maine kaha na, main ye sab formalities ke liye nahi aayi hu... aap dono se baat karni hai mujhe." Vishakha said dryly.
Anand sat down, making Bela sit next to him.
Vishakha also took a seat, keeping her expensive handbag next to her.
"Dekhiye, yeh jo aap sab ne plan banaya hai, kaafi achha hai par main yeh kamyab nahi hone dungi... Sameer abhi bachha hai... usse apne bhale bure ki samajh nahi hai... uski maa hone ke naate mera farz hai ki uske liye sahi faisla lu... main yahan kisi tarah ka jhagda karne nahi aayi hun... mujhe yeh sab middle class baatein karne mein bhi koi interest nahi hai... bas yeh kehne aayi hun ki apni beti ko samjha dijiye ki Sameer ke aas paas na phatke... humne uski shaadi ek bohot bade aur paise wale ghar mein karne ka faisla liya hai... aur yeh faisla kisi ke kehne pe badal nahi sakta... Sameer ke kehne pe bhi." She looked at both of them simultaneously and proved that Sameer was no more than a pawn to her... to be used for her own benefit.
Bela was aghast at the way she talked about Naina and Sameer.
She started to say something but Anand stopped her, holding her hand. She looked at him... he nooded at her, indicating that he would handle.
He turned to Vishakha, "Aap yahan aayi uske liye dhanyavaad... aur iss baat ki pehle hi maafi maangta hun ki aapka yeh time barbaad hua... aakhir aap itne bade log hain toh aapka har pal behad keemti hoga... pata nahi kitne ghanto ka nuksaan karke aap Dilli se Ahmedabad aayi hain... itne samay mein toh aapki daulat mein kuch aur note judd jaate... khair, ab aapne apni baat keh di toh main bhi apni baat bata dun... Naina aur Sameer dono mere bachche hain... aur unki khushiyaan mere liye sabse zaroori hain... woh dono samajhdar hain, baalig hain aur ek dusre se pyar karte hain... unhe ek hone se toh kanoon bhi nahi rok sakta... aap kya rokengi... Sameer ko leke aapke khyaal kisi se chupe nahi hain... jis farz ki aap baat kar rahi hain uske baare mein aapko kab ahsaas hua? Jab kisi ne Naina ke baare mein bataya? Sameer ko aapne shayad saalon se dekha nahi hai... ab woh bada ho gaya hai, bachha nahi hai... waise bachha tha tab bhi aap kahan dekh paati hongi usse... lekin aaj uski zaroorat padi kisi kaam ke liye toh yaad aa gaya ki aapka beta hai aur uski shaadi kisi business deal ke liye faaydemand ho sakti hai."
