Behind his back

I relax myself sitting on bench nearby the shore, feeling the wind that blows in my skin, my eyes fixed on the blue pristine waters of the ocean while holding the blue plastic of Lisa's lunch I was supposed to give to her

I didn't go back in Irene's shop anymore, cause I don't think I can work in this state right now.

I have so many questions I badly needed to be answered, and I know for sure Lisa won't answer anything and probably excuse it is not good for my health to push my memories back. I sighed in full defeat, annoyed by the situation I'm in

I leaned my back on the steel railings and close my eyes, hoping some fragments of my memories will flash and it will help my answer the questions that kept on running in my brain

The hot sunrays gradually hitting my face, I stand up from sitting and decided to go into Lisa's workplace instead of staying at Irene's.

It took me several minutes when I entered Hyung Suk's wide farm with trees of mangoes, oranges, coconut and many more. I was smiling when some men greeted me politely and bowed.

"Hi, have you seen Lisa?" I ask some young man I pass by

"She's in Hyung Suk's office, over there" he pointed the bungalow near us.

"Thank you" I smiled and bowed before I leave him there.

I knock two times before I opened the wooden door, I peeked my head and entered slowly the room. It composed of one desk with a wooden chair, a hanging fan pinned on the wall and two wooden sofas. Lisa's eyes darted on me and she hurriedly stood up, then hurriedly puts the folder she's holding on the wooden table.

She walk fast towards me

"Jennie? What are you doing here?"

I lift up the blue plastic of her lunch box "I brought you lunch"

"Oh that's so kind of you baby, thank you" she smiled and gets the plastic

I walk around the room and stop on Hyung Suk's desk "Where's your boss?"

She turn her body to me and seated on the wooden furniture she's sitting earlier "He got out, said he's grabbing something from the nearby store"

"Hmm" I hummed, lurking my eyes around the room. Several paintings hanging on the painted cream wall, portraits of famous landscapes in Jeju, the sunset each afternoon and the dark night of shining stars

"Is Hyung Suk's a fan of sunset and stars too?" I asked I as stared at the paintings. I felt Lisa turn her head to me, but didn't say anything afterwards.

I turn to her "Lisa?"

"Ah yes, he also loved sunsets and stars Jennie"

"What are you reading?" my eyes landed on the same folder she's holding earlier "Just reports, inventory count of his farm"

"Why are you reading his report?" I seated next to her, eyes landing on the figures printed on the clean paper

"He ask me to check it" she continued reading, then turning another page of the filed papers clipped in the folder, eyes are seriously checking the numerous digits

I chuckle, catching her attention. She looked at me "Why? Something's funny?"

"You seem so serious"

She shrugged her shoulders "Well my work is serious and Hyung Suk is strict, I can't be careless baby"

"I thought your work only deals with harvesting orange, mangoes and many more?"
