Don’t leave me again
I listen to the two cousins from Lisa’s kitchen, talking in the living room with small voices but with the hint of slight anger, they tried to talk quiet but Jisoo is now somewhat panicking.
“You have to get her out of here Lis! As soon as possible, she’s not safe here”
“Why?Aunt Sophia is here in Korea??”
“Yes! And she’s looking for you and Jennie as soon as she landed!”
“What will she do to Jennie?”
“Question, investigate? I don’t know! But aunt is determined to put her in jail Lis,you two have to go back”
“She can’t do that! We don’t know what happened that night! And Jennie is still vulnerable!” Lisa complained
“I know! That’s why please go back to Jeju with her for now, I’ll care of the rest in here”
“What about grandma? Is she now okay?”
“She’s fine” Jisoo came out from the living room and went direct to me, her gaze concern and worried. She was still the same princess Jisoo that I knew in my memories, only now she looked more mature. “Jendeuk do you remember anything the night you and Kai fought? Do you know what happened that night he and Lisa almost killed each other-
“Jisoo!” Lisa shouted “Don’t, I am warning you”
“What happened? Did I do anything to Kai? What is happening?” I asked the two, Jisoo suspiciously looked away and Lisa casted that expression she usually do when she cannot answer the questions I will ask
“Chu? What happened?” I pleaded to Jisoo, she gasped and her eyes widen“Chu? Wai-t, do you remember me?” she points herself
“Yes I do, you are bestfriend Kim Jisoo, the princess of the Kims, my mortal enemy at first but became my bestfriend and sister” I let out a soft chuck, resulting to Jisoo to hug me tight and burst into tear in my arms
“You freaking bitch! I thought you will not remember me anymore!”
I laughed, she’s still the same
“How could I forget you? You lollipop sucking bitch”
“You poor dumbass! How dare you remember that!” she laughed yet crying soft, while Lisa is on her back watching us.
Jisoo suddenly pulled out from the hug “Jendeuk as much as I want to talk to you, reminisce about the past and catch up with you, right now you and Lisa really have to go back to Jeju, you are not safe here”
The wind of Jeju somehow relaxed me from the long flight. I leaned my head to Lisa’s shoulder as we watch and listen to the soft waves. She felt it and draped her hand on my waist, the simple touch made my heart warm and jump a little bit, just like in the past.
Now that we’re back here in Jeju, some things change I guess. The last time I’ve been in here, I was a clueless woman who has no idea what happened in my past, who am I and who is Lisa in my life. Now half of the mysteries were solved, the half will unravel through time, I felt it.
“Are you tired?”
“Yeah a little bit”
“Cold?”
“No”
“Jennie?” her voice soft, harmonizing the waves. I close my eyes and listen to the solemnity of my surroundings. “Hmmmm?”
