The bell rang along the clamors that resounded through the corridors, signaling the end of the examination day.

Nagisa heard Rio’s groan at his right who stretched her arms as she went out, and Kaede’s snore at his left.

Snore?

“I guess Kayano-chan’s out.” Hiroto noticed.

“Stop staring at her Maehara.” Hinata glared at him with her killing intent.

“Excuse me?” Hiroto raised a brow with his tone screaming ‘I am not!’

“Do you think it’s alright to wake her up?” Megu asked to who-ever-hears, ignoring Hiroto and Hinata’s quarrel.

“Mmm. I’ll take responsibility.” Nagisa stood and approached Kaede.

“That’s right Nagisa. Be a man.” Megu proudly crosses her arms, nodding approvingly.

“Uhh, Kataoka-san--” Nagisa sweat-dropped.

“Right. Cutting your hair is a good start. Next is your height.” Megu continued to comment along her own likes.

Nagisa just ignored her antics, or more accurately, he’s already used to her being pushy about his masculinity.

“Hey, Kayano.” Nagisa gently patted her shoulder.

“Aguri--”

He immediately covered Kaede’s mouth with a hanky, pretending that he’s wiping her drool. She blinked, slowly realizing where she was and who were staring at her.

Megu squinted as her eyes narrowed on Kaede’s lips.

Luckily, she heard nothing, “--s-sashiburi?” she then giggled before joining Yuuma and the others.

“T-That was close.” Nagisa sighed in relief.

“A-I’m sorry Nagisa!” Kaede unintentionally bit the hanky along with Nagisa’s finger

His eyes widened in pain but his mouth was shut, lips curving.

“Nagisa, are you going home now?” Tomohito cheered from the door.

“N-Not yet. I’m waiting for Rio. And I think I broke my finger.” Nagisa looked at him and dramatically cried, whispering the last part.

“Oh. I’m going then, bye!”

Sugino. Nagisa turned back and frowned.

“S-S-Sorry.” Kaede snapped him out from his thoughts. But it can’t be helped. He can’t even focus on his tests just by thinking about Tomohito’s connection to their present case.

Nagisa looked at his finger, and it’s surprisingly fine. He really felt it was bleeding.

“It’s fine.” He chuckled then became serious again.

“What did you found out?” Kaede quite recognized this kind of mood from him.

He’s troubled.

“Stressed already, Nagisa?” Rio entered the room with Karma, that makes all four of them inside, “Let’s not talk about that here.”

They agreed and were about to exit the school building when two noticeable big guys in black suit entered the main door, one of them carries a gray business briefcase.

“I think I saw them somewhere.” Karma blurted as they continue to walk away to avoid suspicion.

Station? No. TV? Newspaper? He thought.
