There was now 2 months til the end of the school year and it dragged out as every day seemed to last forever. It wasn't as if Athena was complaining as she wanted to spend as much time with her friends as possible before the summer. She knew she was staying at cedrics house over the summer and she knew not to worry about Grayson because he already had keys to her place so he would never not have a home to go to. Grayson did have a abusive past with his family but it wasn't physical. It was mental abuse and he always thought he wasn't good enough and Athena and Chris never stopped trying to make him feel comfortable as himself. That's why if you wanted to find him, he was usually at Athens's house as he had grown comfortable enough to call it home.
Athenas pov~
It was night time and I was patrolling the halls near the slytherin common room when a student walked towards me. "Sorry I just went out to get you a drink. I thought you'd need it for the night ahead" I thanked the boy I recognised to be in my year and he scurried off into the common room. I sighed and took a sip of the drink in my hands. "Wow" I muttered as the world was spinning in front of my eyes. I tried to steady myself by putting a hand on the wall but failed miserably as I stumbled and fell forwards onto my knees. "You will love me" was the last words I heard before falling into someone's arms. I looked up into the persons eyes and it was the student who gave me the drink. "What is happening-" I stopped as I felt something change inside of me, like a emotion just switched up. "sky?" I said his name and he pulled me back to a standing position. "Yes darling" "Have I ever told you how much I love you" I giggled. For some reason inside of me this felt wrong but I buried the feeling down as I knew my head was screaming for me to kiss him so that's what I did. I heard a noise and broke apart from him to see a prefect badge on the floor and my mind flashed with memories. "Cedric..." I breathed out and I realised what I had done. What sky has done to me. "You sick bastard" i was quick to punch sky in the face and he fell to the floor groaning. I ran past his body and tried looking for Cedric. It had been an hour and there was no sign of him so I knew he was in this dorm. "Dammit" I shouted and flipped a table over. I leant my back on the wall and ran my fingers through my hair. What do I do? He thinks that I just cheated on him. How could I fall for such a stupid trick? I had to wait til morning to talk to him, I just hope it's not too late.. ————————|||———————— I looked in the mirror and I saw the dark circles under my eyes. I had got no sleep last night as I was worrying for Cedric. I had gotten changed quickly and had waited for Cedric outside of the hufflepuff common room. He had finally came out but red lining the bottom of his eyes and his face a bit more pale "Cedric I-" I started but he kept walking "Cedric!" I called again and he stopped in his tracks. He turned around and a tear rolled down his cheek as he spoke "How could you? Was all the promised we made a joke to you?" He said and you could see the anger and sadness in his eyes "Of course not-" "I was actually thinking that wow I want to marry this girl and this is what I get, I mean what did I expect you're slytherin and they are known for being lying backstabbing-" "What's going on here?" Grayson interrupted and I wiped away the tears that had accidentally fell. "She cheated on me" "You...what?!? Why would you do that?" "It doesn't matter why because it's happened. There's no taking that back" Cedric said and stormed off. Grayson looked really confused but slightly disgusted which I have never seen Grayson so disappointed in me ever "Grayson let me-" I started but he walked away. I didn't know what else to do but run. I ran all the way to my dorm and stayed there all week as I couldn't bear to see the others reactions and the look on their faces. The disappointment. The disgust.
Chris' pov~ "Wheres Athena i haven't saw her all week?" I asked Cedric and Grayson who were sitting together on the hufflepuff table which was odd for Grayson. They both shrugged but gave me a odd look when I said her name "What is going on, you both are acting weird" I looked between the two and Grayson finally spoke "Athena cheated on Cedric-" "She what?!? There has to be a reason for that did you ask her?" They were both silent and I felt an anger burn inside of me "You didn't ask Athena rose the girl you both love why she did it? You idiots there could've been a explanation! I'm going to find her and none of you can stop me" I growled and ran all the way to the dorm. I hadn't hesitated to burst into the girls room or through some other girls room but when I got to Athenas room my hand was stuck on the door knob and I didn't move a muscle. I could feel her. I could feel her pain, her sadness and he could feel her heart breaking. Shattering even. I opened the door slowly and saw her in a ball on her bed. She looked awful and that was hard for a girl like her to look this tired and drained. She hadn't been eating much as I never saw her at the hall for meals and I quickly scooped her in my arms and stroked her hair while she cried "I-" "You don't need to explain now. You need to sleep" she hummed in response and I laid her head on my lap and placed covers on her so she was comfortable. She was quick to fall asleep and her mouth was slightly open as she was obviously in deep sleep from her lack of it. 'Goodnight Athena' I said in my head before nodding off too
