Chapter XIII Charity's pov:
I woke up to the sun shining extremely bright and birds chirping. Finally, the first sunny day we've had in almost 2 weeks. School started at 9:00. as i walked downstairs i quickly toasted some bread and put some chocolate-almond spread on it and headed to Johnny's room to wake him.
I knocked lightly on the door. No answer. I walked in quietly to see Johnny sleeping. He was curled up into the blankets adorably with his hair all messy. "Johnny?" I smiled as he woke up. "Charity? What time is it?" He asked as his voice was raspy from awaking. GosH it was so cute. "It's 7am. I thought we could wake up at this time every day so we could stop by Pony's house and we could all walk to school together.. if thats alright with you?" I asked. "Oh yeah thats fine. Man.. i haven't slept that good in ages." He laughed while stretching. "Well, bedhead, i'll give you some time to get ready and i'll make you some breakfast. How's waffles sound?" "Great.. thanks." As i walked out I slowly shut the door behind me and began making waffles just as Johnny came downstairs in no more than 5 minutes. "Um.. wow. That was fast... you're all ready?" I asked. "Yep.. why?" "No reason.. it just takes wayyy less time for you to get ready than me. Must be nice." I sarcastically chuckled. "Well, girls have more things to worry about i guess. Hair, makeup, clothes, etc.. all i have to worry about is my hair and clothes." We both laughed. "Well, here are your waffles, i made them blueberry, hope you like those. We should get going since we quite a walk ahead of us." I smiled. We headed out the door to Ponyboys house. . I felt refreshed and happy for once in forever. And so we began our walk at 8am.
