"junghee! junghee!" i kept screaming as i ran through the dark passageways of the catacombs. "please... no!" i cried hard as i reached the death chamber, where killer would usually torture and kill her suspects.
my body trembled as i saw her on the floor, blood splattered everywhere. something flashed in my mind.
a girl in a black cloak, holding a knife in her hand as she slowly cut plunged the knife into junghee's body. i felt my legs weaken as she twists the knife and pulls it out before sticking it back in.
i covered my ears in horror, i couldn't bare hearing her screams of pain. i swallowed the thick lump in my throat, my cheeks stained with tears as i faced killer's back.
"you fucking killer!" i yelled even though this was just a memory, she won't hear me.
"we were bestfriends!" i cried out loud, pointing at the other cloaked girl torturing her.
i then heard junghee whisper, "we're siblings, we are supposed to be protecting each other."
i gasped, "eunji..."
"you killed her! she was my bestfriend!" i said through gritted teeth, my fists clenched as i dropped to ground next to junghee.
i hugged her as they walked away, "junghee! i'm too late aren't i? i failed." i cried onto, my hands stained from her blood that pooled her body.
