Shinichi let out a sigh, burrowing his face into his hands "I can't believe that I did that" His words were muffled. Sure it had seemed right when he'd done it, but now after sleeping on it he'd realized that he might have gone too far.

"It was very immature of you" Ai agreed from her spot on the couch, the little scientist had chosen not to take the cure. She raised a brow "Didn't you once mention that you weren't going to look into him?"

The sleuth grimaced at the truthful words, he had promised Kid that he wouldn't do that outside of heists. The offer had been made as thanks for helping him out with his own Crows "I was tired and wasn't thinking straight" He hadn't slept well the previous night, and he'd been in a really bad mood lately since Division one had been seriously slacking lately. Kid throwing up on him had been the last straw of his patience, so he'd taken out his aggression on the other "I don't think that I'll be going to a Kid heist anytime soon..."

Ai snickered "That's not going to stop him from getting back at you" Kid was worse than Shinichi when it came to revenge. Especially since the sleuth's actions were uncalled for due to there not being a heist.

His shoulders slumped, a small shiver running down his spine "At least I'm not Conan anymore..." He wasn't as easy to snatch away anymore.

Indigos narrowed as the disguised magician followed the sleuth around. He'd waited a few days before starting to stalk the other. A satisfied grin tugged at his lips as Shinichi kept pausing to look around. The guy's weird ability to sense him was working in his favour for once, today was the third day of him stalking the sleuth, and the guy was already looking quite jumpy.

Yes, Shinichi was correct in guessing that he'd want payback for the misplaced aggression, but the guy was wrong about how he was going to go about dishing it out. Sure the obvious choice would be humiliation, which while fun, was expected and thus not a good choice. Indigos gleamed, he wasn't going to do anything besides let the sleuth grow more and more uneasy. He'd let the other sense his presence, but would do nothing else.

He normally wasn't into scare tactics, but his mother had been Phantom Lady, and had obviously taught him them.

He was stressed, more so than usual. He knew that he was being watched, most likely by Kid. The sleuth just couldn't understand the the other hadn't made his move yet, it wasn't like him to be so idle.

"Haibara" Shinichi whined as he entered the professor's house "Why can't he just humiliate me already?" He'd never thought that he'd ever look forward to being humiliated before now, but he was "I just want him to get it over with"

Ai smirked, the detective was clearly frazzled if he hadn't caught onto the thief's plan "He knows that you can sense him" Which was kind of odd since the guy wasn't dangerous "So he's probably waiting until you let your guard down" If she told him her true thoughts, it wouldn't be as fun now would it? She was fond of the silly thief since he'd saved her when he hadn't needed to.

Azure narrowed "My guard will stay up" His spirit was refuelled at the thought of a challenge. Ai snorted, Shinichi was surprisingly gullible at times.

Kid inwardly cackled at the surprising support from the little scientist, he knew that he liked her for a reason! The little scientist's dark sense of humour was awesome! She hadn't even removed his bugs from the house, though she did turn them off occasionally, which was fine. Maybe he'd give the guy another week or two of impending dread before stopping.

Another week later had the sleuth positively twitchy, it was fantastic! Kid couldn't help but grin as he made his presence more pronounced by daring to shorten the distance between them. God if it made Shinichi this bad, he could only imagine how Saguru would have turned out under the same treatment. He silently snickered, no that would be bad. Just because the blond was annoying, didn't mean that he wanted to break the guy.

Okay he's had enough, this needed to end. Shinichi swallowed as he stared at the Kuroba nameplate, he was essentially going to enter enemy territory and get his punishment over with. He ignored the many doves surrounding the house in favour of steeling himself as he headed towards the door. He knew that Kid was here, how could he not?

He knocked on the door, blinking when it opened after the third knock. Azure narrowed as he stepped in, the curtains were drawn, and the lights were off, filling the house with complete darkness as the door closed behind him.

"Hello Meitantei" Shinichi flinched at the sudden brightness from the lights turning on.

When his sight returned, the sleuth couldn't help but grimace "Seriously?" Kaito was sitting at the top of the stairs, stroking a small dove like a cliche villain would a cat in a movie.

Kaito smirked, Tsuki flying out of the way as he did a front flip and landed on the bottom step "How has your week been Meitantei?" He inquired, indigos gleaming darkly.

The sleuth grit his teeth "Just get it over with" His dread had been snapped away by the weird atmosphere "I know that I shouldn't have treated you like that" He sighed.

A wide Kid grin split across the magician's face "No need" He clasped his hands together "You've already been punished" He tilted his head "And I've taken my coat back that you've so rudely taken"

Shinichi was silent for a few moments before realization hit him "Doing nothing was your revenge..." How could he have not thought of that possibility?! "That isn't like you"

The magician offered a shrug, still grinning "It felt reasonable considering how you treated me"

Shinichi grimaced "Truce outside of heists?" He let out a relieved breath when the other nodded. Thank god.
