Remus-relighting the spark

"Remus?" I asked as I tapped the shoulder of a fellow Professor. He turned and my eyes met his familiar ones. We engulfed each other into a hug and chuckled

"Y/N. I haven't seen you in years" he chuckled as we pulled away. "What are you doing here?"

"What do you think Remus?"

"Right..you're a professor here. What subject?"

"Care of magical creatures. What about you?"

"Defence against the dark arts"

"We should go. The feast is starting soon and I like watching the kids get sorted"

"You always have. You never missed it when we were here"

He placed a hand on my back as we began walking to the great hall. Throughout the entirety of the feast we spoke about everything that had been going on in our lives. I got to learn about how he had been given the job at Hogwarts and I told him how I got the job which wasn't a surprise to him since I have been enthusiastic about magical creatures since our first class about them.

We spoke even after the entire hall had been emptied and the tables in front of us had been completely cleared of plates. By the time we had walked to his classroom, it was almost one othe morning. I waved him goodbye and watched as he disappeared into his office before turning on my heel and walking back to my classroom

"Go careful with these creatures if you ever come in contact with one which shouldn't happen again because they don't usually live in England." I explained to my class. The bell rang and I smiled as the class began to leave. "Remember, essays on Grindylows are due next week"

"You sure do have full control over the class" Remus chuckled as he exited my office were he had been reading for that hour.

"They listen to me. Did you get much reading done?" I asked and sat onto my desk

"Not really. I like listening to you teach and got caught up in that lesson. I remember that we barely learnt anything in this class because we always messed about"

"No, you and the three other messed about in it. I listened in it" I laughed and he sat next to me. There was a moment of silence before Remus broke it

"Do you remember our small romance when we were here?"

"..yeah, I do because it wasn't just a small one. It was pretty serious"

"I never got to tell you the three special word did I?"

"No. Neither of us said it"

"Well then..Y/N Y/L/N. I love you"

"I love you too Rem but don't you think it would be a little inappropriate for us to start it up again"

"Nobody needs to know" he smirked, jumping from the spot next to me and standing in front of me with his hand resting on my waist. I blushed a little as I placed my arms around his neck. He leaned in slowly and I got impatient so I grabbed his jumper and pulled him into a passionate kiss. His arm snaked its way around my waist and he pulled me closer into the kiss. We both smiled into it before pulling away and smirking

"Wow" I exclaimed, "I've missed that"

"So have I" he whispered and pulled me into another kiss. I placed my hand on his cheek, using my thumb to caress it gently as my tounge slipped into his mouth and fought lightly with his, mime winning. We pulled away for air and I pulled him into a hug

"Have a good evening" Remus said as his class left. I watched him from down the halls slightly with a huge smile on my face.

Once I saw the last student leave, I sorted out the folders in my hand and walked to his door. I did my secret knock and heard him say I could come in. I shut the door behind me before placing the folders on a desk and walking up to him with a slight skip in my step. He hugged my tightly before looking down at me with love in his eyes and placing a sweet kiss on my lips

"I missed you today sweetheart" he said as we pulled away

"I missed you too love."

"Hey I forgot to ask you, that group of Ravenclaw boys in you sixth year class that you have third period on a Monday. Do they make comments to you because I overheard them making some in my class today"

"I've had a couple but they stopped saying them to me at least when I told one off badly a few days ago"

"Maybe if you were Professor Lupin as well then they would stop"

"That's a possibility"

We chuckled and I placed a kiss onto his cheek. I rested my head onto his chest and we slowly rocked back and forth to the music playing quietly in the back of his class. I closed my eyes and let my mind fall into deep thoughts.

The moment was ruined however when we heard the door begin opened. We jumped apart and I continued to explain something that wasn't really relevant but it made it seem a little less suspicious

"Y/N, hello. I didn't realise that you were in here." McGonagall said with a sweet smile. "I was just coming here to tell Remus that staff meeting that was meant to be this Friday has been moved to next Wednesday and then I was going to come and find you to tell you the same thing."

"Two birds, one stone" I said. I watched their expressions change into confused ones and realised that they didn't understand the phrase. "It's an old muggle expression"

McGonagall nodded and left, closing the door again. I turned to Remus and we both started laughing

"That was close" He said and gave me another kiss

"I have marking to go do so I need to get going" I said as I picked up the folders again and turned to him, "but before I leave I just want you to know that I love you"

"I love you too gorgeous" he said back with a smile. "Now go and get that marking done." He shooed me out of the room with a loving smile and I blew a kiss before closing the door and walking back to my classroom.

I didn't get much marking done that night because my mind was way to busy thinking about how much I love Remus
