Part 2

Dear Best Friend,

do you remember that time when I complained about your skincare routine? Every time we were having sleepovers, you would take forever to prepare and come over because you needed to take proper care of your skin and couldn't do it at our place. I hated it. I would sit in my room and just wait for your endless routine to be over so we can finally watch that movie we agreed on and eat cookies mom wouldn't let us touch until you came over.

However, as the years progressed, your skincare routine has become our skincare routine. Remember cousin Niki's wedding? Those were the most fun days we spent together in a while and I think I will forever remember that family trip you participated in.

I woke up with a start as someone banged on my bedroom door. I groaned and got up, already knowing it was Osamu who was here to wake me up so we can go Takeno as early as 4 AM. It didn't take me long to get ready and go downstairs for a mini breakfast before we go. (F/N) was already in the dining room. She had her head leaned on the table just like Samu and they both appeared to be sleeping. I grinned at them and walked around the table so I could stand behind them. "Incoming!" I yelled and then quickly leaned down to kiss her cheek before doing the same thing for Osamu. They jumped up, startled, and yelped. She held a hand on her cheek and blinked a couple of times in confusion while Samu quickly punched my gut.

With a groan, I slumped in a chair next to her, but I still continued laughing. Their reactions were hilarious, especially Samu's. He seemed disturbed for life. (F/N), on the other hand, continued holding her cheek as her eyes closed and I wasn't even sure she consciously did it. It was so adorable. Our mother came in because of our yelling, hissing at me for messing with the two so early in the morning and then ushered us out to put our bags in the car. We all packed together last night, with (F/N) having a mini fashion show until she and mom decided on all the things she should wear. It was so funny because the moment mom walked out to get something, Samu and I would pretend to throw money at her for giving us a show and she would start dancing around.

The moment dad started the car, we all passed out, however. Samu, who was sitting to my right, had his head leaned back and his mouth open as he lightly snored. I was so tempted to toss something in his mouth, but if I moved, I would have woken up (F/N), who was snuggled to me on my left side, her legs splayed over mine and face buried between my arm and the car seat. Hence, I couldn't move anywhere and was forced to fall asleep.

I don't think we were travelling for long. Dad stopped a few times to buy snacks and whatnot, but we didn't leave the car. The two on my sides hadn't even woken once so I was also trapped inside until we arrived at our hotel. When we were there, dad took out our luggage and Samu and I helped carry it, while (F/N) wrapped her arms around Samu's arm, still half asleep. For someone who had so much energy all the time, she sure wasn't a morning person. It was also weird because out of two of us, I was always the one that entertained (F/N)'s cuddly and wild side, while Samu always entertained the serious and nerdy side. It was a rare sight to see her hugging him and him not being bothered by it.

Guess what.

It bugged me.

I glared at them from the side as we waited for mom to check us in. There was quite a line. I put mine and (F/N)'s luggage down and walked over to her. I gently pulled her away from Samu and leaned her head on my chest while wrapping my arms around her to hold her steady. She sighed in content and snuggled her face into me, her arms gently draping around my waist. Osamu gave me a weird look as I did it, however, and I couldn't help but narrow my eyes at him. She was my cuddle buddy, not his. He can find himself someone else.
