I sighed heavily upon seeing the captain of our volleyball club continuously serving the ball even after all the club members have left. I know I've been told multiple times to just stay out of it by my senpais but I couldn't help myself. Anyone who saw him right now would have noticed something was wrong. Don't get me wrong. I do believe hard and extra work is the path to success but I'm afraid that, at this rate, he will start hating volleyball before he even reaches the point where we can talk about achieving success. I know his best friend is worried about him and I feel the same.

No.

I will not stay out of this.

I stepped inside the gym, holding a box of new supplies I had to carry from the club room with my binder on top of it. My footsteps alerted the guy and he looked at me with a scowl. Upon noticing it was me, his lips stretched into a wide smile. "Oh, Manager-chan! It's you. I thought it was Iwa-chan," he said and picked up yet another ball. I sighed and continued walking to the supply room. "My name is (L/N), Oikawa-senpai," I said for the hundredth time since I've joined the club as their manager. He only laughed and shot me a wink. "I know but Manager-chan sounds cuter," he said and tossed the ball in the air. He served it and it hit the far right corner perfectly.

"Nice serve, Trashy-senpai," I yelled from the supply room only to hear him whine. "Don't let Iwa-chan rub off on you, Manager-chan!" He said in that cute pouty voice of his. I poked my head out, pausing with arranging the supplies. "I'm just letting you have a taste of your own medicine, Trashy-senpai. I think it might be you, not Iwaizumi-senpai, that's rubbing off on me," I said and stuck my tongue out before returning to my job.

It was silent for a few moments save from the smacking of the ball that was coming from the gym. I gave him a few tries. I gave him some time to improve but when that limit was passed, I will spring into action. As he served the tenth ball since I started putting everything back into its place, I stepped out. On the entrance, I also saw Iwaizumi-senpai. I waved at him and motioned for him to be silent. I slowly made my way over, frowning at Oikawa for not even noticing. This was so unhealthy.

"I'll handle him today, Iwaizumi-senpai. I don't know how long it will be though," I whispered and waved when he nodded his head and left, shooting Oikawa one last concerned look.

"Trashy-senpai!" I called, finally catching his attention. "That's really mean, Manager-chan!" He replied, pettily accentuating the title he gave me. I shrugged and walked closer to him. "It's just as mean as reducing me from a human being to just a role in this club but that's not why I called you," I said and pushed the binder I held into his chest. He took it, surprised, with his eyes wide. "I need to talk to you," I said straight up. He frowned almost immediately when I turned away and picked up the balls around us, tossing them in the basket.

"If you're going to tell me to stop overworking myself that isn't going to work," he huffed and walked after me as I continued picking up balls. When I ignored him and picked up yet another one, Oikawa huffed and dropped my binder, picking up the ball I tossed in the basket. Every time I would toss a ball in, he would throw one out. I clenched my jaw and looked at him, hoping he could see how annoyed I am without me having to voice it. "Fine. By all means, do overwork yourself. Come on, get to serving. The last one you did was really off. You wouldn't even be able to beat Karasuno with that serve much less Shiratorizawa." The moment I mentioned Shiratorizawa, his expression darkened. I know I hit the nail on its head with that one. Now he'll listen to me.

"What are you even saying, (L/N)?" He asked coldly. I gave him a small mocking smile, pushing him further. "Oh, so I'm not Manager-chan anymore? If I knew that would give me back my integrity I would have pointed out how much you actually suck earlier!" I said and laughed. He did not like that. He took a step towards me and grabbed my elbow, pulling me into him. He was so close and the way his face was distorted with anger made him really scary. He was terrifying when he wanted to be but I wasn't going to back away just because he made a scary face. "Shut up, (L/N)," he growled and shook me lightly. I rolled my eyes but let him think he could overpower me.
