"Thor. Welcome home, my boy. Who are these two maidens that accompany you?" asks the man, who I suspect is the Allfather himself.

"Father, I have brought with me my midgardian maiden, Jane Foster-  I would enjoy it if you and mother were to meet her. I would like to show her the wonders and magnificent stories of Asgard." Thor says, proudly.

"And you?" asks Odin, looking at me expectantly.

"(Y/n)." I say.

"I see, and what brings you here Lady (Y/n)?" he questions.

"We have an important matter to discuss." explains Heimdall, "Though I think it is important the conversation is as private as deemed possible."

Odin nods simply as if he had a silent understanding of what Heimdall meant.

But why did I need a private conversation with Heimdall and Odin, King of Asgard?

"Thor, you may take Miss Foster to your Chambers, I wish to see you both for dinner. It is good to see you again. Guards, you are dismissed." boomed Odin, the power radiating in his voice.

Thor, Jane and the Guards left, leaving me, Heimdall and Odin in the room.

"This is Princess (Y/n) of Vanaheim. Njord's daughter." says Heimdall, "The one we discussed many years ago."

I give him a confused look, "I beg your pardon?"

"The Jotun." said Odin, looking down at me. As he spoke, my head snapped towards him as I heard those two words leave his mouth.

"She left Vanaheim, just as the your father had said." said Heimdall. I just look at the pair, bewildered.

"I don't mean to impose, but I think I deserve some sort of explanation as to what is happening here." I say.

"Are you aware of the Prophecy, Princess?" asks Odin, as if it was a regular question.

"Am I supposed to be?" I ask, completely confused at this point.

"Allfather, if she knows, it will not happen." says Heimdall. Odin nods knowingly.

"Princess (Y/n), I think it best you go to your chambers which have been set up in preparation of your arrival. You may have a maid run you a bath and will be notified as of when you will be joining us for dinner." says Odin.

I consider his words for a minute, looking at him dumbfoundedly.

"I refuse to go any further with this business until I am made aware of what in the nine realms is happening!" I demand, my voice raised.

"You will be informed of what information is necessary to you at dinner. Before that, you will go to your chambers and clean yourself up. Thank you, Heimdall. You are both dismissed." said Odin. I glare up at him, but eventually followed Heimdall silently to my 'chambers'.

Now alone, I open the door, being welcomed by a beautifully decorated room. A large king sized bed with smooth red covers and freshly pressed pillows. A huge wooden bookshelf spanning across an entire wall, paintings, wardrobes and doors everywhere. It felt so rich and royal, something I feel undeserving of.

Deciding against calling for the maids, I ran myself a warm bath, adding herbs and scents for more relaxation.

I kept my dagger on the side of the bath, within reach at all times. I can't trust these people, and I'm still convinced the Allfather plans on killing me.

But one thing in particular was stuck on my mind.

I am part of a... prophecy?

Prophecies never usually end well, so I'm either the victim, villain or victor.

And something tells me I'm not going to be the victor.

I push it to the back of my mind and reluctantly step out of the bath, wrapping a towel closely around me. If I'm joining them for dinner, I think it's best I look presentable.

I dress into a suitable outfit, doing my hair and preparing myself as I usually would for events.

My leather armour was much like Freyr's. I never liked the female armour on Vanaheim, it simply never appealed to me. I made a large impact on my armour, my designer open to the many tweaks I wanted to make.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a knock on the door.

"Lady (Y/n), may I enter?" a woman's voice called.

"Yes." I say, gripping my dagger closely behind my back- to use only for defence.

A beautiful brunette woman entered, her dress similar to the ones my mother would wear, except more... yellow.

"Hello, dear. My name is Frigga. I understand you are joining us for dinner?" she said, smiling.

"Yes, rumour has it." I say, not letting my guard down despite the woman's apparent kindness.

"I mean you no harm dear, I simply wanted to speak to you before-hand." she explains, taking a seat on a sofa in the room.

She gestures for me to do the same, shuffling over to one side. I decide to grab a chair from the small table, sitting on it backwards to face her.

"Can you tell me what I'm doing here?" I say, placing my dagger down on the table.

"It is destiny, (Y/n). You were born to be here today. Don't let any story, or your bloodline tell you otherwise." she smiled, "But, I cannot tell you why you are here. Only you can be the one to discover that."

She was constantly gentle, her manner warm and friendly. I enjoyed the presence of this woman.

"Now. Us ladies best be off to dinner, wouldn't you say?" she finishes.

"Frigga?" I ask.

"Yes, (Y/n)?"

"Who is attending this meal?"

"Well as you know, me, you and Odin will be in attendance. There will be Sif and the warriors three, Valkyrie, my two sons and I've heard a young Midgardian who seems to have stolen the heart of my eldest." she answers.

I nod and she stands up, making her way out of the door, nodding her head for me to follow.

I trail after her, manoeuvring through the golden palace halls until we entered a large ballroom. Through the centre, there lies a long wooden table with large mounds of food running right down to the end. There were a handful of people sat at the table, all of which stopped to stare at me. Nobody had started eating yet, so I suspected they were waiting for the Queen to arrive.

"Please, take a seat." Odin spoke.
