⚠️TW: Torture (Loki's memories)⚠️
Loki jumps to hit Thor out of the way but is blasted by the power of the bi-fröst being shattered.
Thor and Loki both topple over the side of the bridge, being caught by Odin as they hang on to their weapons, dangling over the emptiness of space.
"I could've done it father!" yells Loki, "For you! For all of us!"
Odin looks down disappointingly at his adopted child.
"No Loki."
And with those words, Loki's heart shattered into tiny little fragments of undeniable rejection.
Heartbreak itches at his fingers, hopelessness aching as his grip gradually loosens on his weapon.
"Loki, no!"
Thor's shout meets his ears as mere noise, Loki's mind set upon his next action. His hand flees quickly, his body wordlessly dropping into the abyss of Space and Time.
-
"Loki of Asgard," says a deep, alien voice, "Comply. Join us. And you will have glory."
"Thor! Thor, help! Mother? Mother!" he shouts, "Help!"
His voice is young and tired, making it more rough and difficult to shout with. He daren't even shout Odin's name, aware that he would never come to his aid.
"They can't hear you. They never will. We give you the planet, you give us the stones." he says.
"Never! Aghhhh!" he yells as he's whipped by a creature in an all black outfit.
"Who are you trying to impress? You're an outcast. An outlaw. You could be worth so much more." he urges, letting the figure whip Loki three more times.
"I can't! Please stop, have mercy I beg of you!" he yells desperately.
The whips continue for five full minutes, his back ending up in a red, bloody mess. Exhaustion wouldn't justify the feeling his body holds.
He breathes heavily as he's dragged over to the wheel. He's locked down onto it, too tired to protest as a plethora of creatures take it in turn to leave their mark on him.
He receives several blows to the head, a few in the chest but a fair amount in the neck, making his breathing crazed and uneven."Need more convincing, prince?"
"Thor!" he squeals, "Mother! Anyone! Aghaghaghaaaa!" he yelps, breathlessly.
"Comply!" the alien yells. With one last punch to the face, Loki falls unconscious.
He wakes up a few minutes later, now lying on the floor covered in blood and barely breathing. Everything aches, stings and burns, a level of pain that questions a person's insanity.
"F-f..... fih.... fine." he breathes out, coughing up blood, struggling to get the single word out.
"Excellent decision." Hisses the Alien.
-
"It is my birthright!" Loki argues.
"Your birthright!" wailed Odin, gritting his teeth at the man he calls unworthy of being his son, "Was to die! Cast out onto a frozen rock. Left to die. Had I not taken you in, you would not be here to hate me."
Loki's eyes meet his mother's, sadly.
She was disappointed in him. That he was sure of. But her love for him would stretch past even this. He was her son... he is her son.
