How can we be better in English?

Siguro isa ka rin sa nag-i-struggle on how to be better with our second language. We want to write stories and poems pero natatakot tayo minsan kasi baka may mali tayong grammar or what kaya minsan, 'di na lang natin tinutuloy. Katulad niyo, gan'on din ako kaya may tips ako sa inyo to be better (technique ko lang po ito).

7 Clever Tips to Learn English

1. Have a notebook

     Siguro naman ay may mga notebooks kayong extra d'yan o kaya intermediate pad  or what na pwedeng sulatan. Pwede rin naman ang notes niyo sa phone or kung ano mang app. Write the words you are unfamiliar at then, find a dictionary to look for it's meaning. If your focus is to learn more English words, this tip can be a help.

2. Read books

     If you have grammar books, Engish books, or novel books, read it. Magandang way 'yon para matuto ng grammar and more words. Matututo ka pa ng ways and tactics to write novels etc.
     Ako naman, I use my English book na 'di pa nababalik  sa school and Phil. Science reviewers ko para matuto. Hanap din kayo ng libro sa bahay niyo. Malay niyo may nakatago pa d'yan.

3. Learn grammar everyday

     Araw-araw or kung ano ang balak niyo: every other day or twice a week, study grammar. 'Wag lahatin lahat ng grammar lessons. If you wish to, learn first 'yong mga rules kung saan ka naco-confuse then read the basic SVA. It will be a help para ma-correct ang maling grammar sa works natin.
      Here are some lessons I think we should learn first:
  A. Subject-Verb Agreement
  B. Tenses of Verb
  C. Uses of Different Punctuations
  D. Confusing Words (especially kapag may nabibiktima  sa homonyms na tulad ko)

4. Throwback lessons

     Siguro naman ay may mga notes tayo sa English notebook natin. Try to throwback English lessons na tinuro ng teachers natin. Try nating alalahanin 'yong lessons na natatandaan pa natin habang nagsasalita harap ang English teacher natin.

5. Watch!

     If you have internet connection, watch videos about English. Try to take down notes if you wish to. Siguraduhin lang na naiintindihan mo 'yong video!

6. Know your learning style

     Hindi man ito masyadong related sa writing but it will be a great help para mas madali kang matuto.

A. Visual - you can learn through pictures, illustrations, tables, etc.

B. Auditory - you can learn through the use of ears.

C. Kinesthetic - you can learn through movements of you body.

Alin d'yan ang learning style mo? Ako kasi halos pantay-pantay dyan sa tatlo pero ang most dominant is visual.

7. Application is the key!

   Walang silbi lahat ng pinag-aralan mo kung hindi mo gagamtin. Apply what you have learned sa poems, stories, novels, at iba pang sinusulat mo. There are many ways to apply what you learn and nasa sa'yo na lang kung paano mo ito gagawin.

Golden Tip!
   Hindi ko ito sinama sa seven tips ko kasi naiiba 'to. "Pray to God to give you knowledge". Pray before, during, or after mong mag-aral ng English so that God will provide you.
