Tips to Enhance Your Vocabulary Writing

It is impossible to write well if you have a limited vocabulary. If you have a few words to express, which one repeats over and over again, it may seems awkward and poor.

I am not saying na pangit na ang work mo, but tbh, nakakabored basahin kapag paulit ulit lang 'yung words na nababasa. So here are some ways to improve your vocabulary when it comes to writing.

1. Read a lot - paulit ulit ako, yes, unli. But to tell you just to read wouldn't be enough. If you want to expand your vocabulary, then you must read extensively. The important thing is just that you read so it will automatically increase your vocabulary.

2. Use vocabulary applications - download Vocabulary Builder and learn new words. It has various levels, from basic to advance and it has audio pronunciation of each word.

Basta download kayo, if you want pwede rin namang Merriam-Webster kasi may kasama ng Thesaurus 'yon. Kung ayaw niyo namang maaksaya MB niyo, meron namang website na:

3. Write - obviously, to write, well you must write a lot. May malalaman ka bang bago kung 'di ka magsusulat? So, from now on, when you write and at some point feel that you don't have precise words to express, go to a dictionary and try to find it.

Google can also help you with other words, if you search for it.

4. Use a Thesaurus - I'm using thesaurus since I reread my ongoing work, it seems boring and napakababaw ng mga words. Use this when you find yourself using a word too often.

5. Improve you grammar - grammar is very important because it improves the quality of your writing. Always use the appropriate tense and remember to use punctuation.
