3rd Person's POV

Buffy stands outside of Chris' house. She takes a deep breath before reaching up and knocking on the door. She didn't really like the fact that she was alone right now but Giles was getting ready for his little date with Ms. Calendar, Xander and Willow were on the lookout for Chris and Eric, and Cordelia and Laney were getting ready for the game; seeing as their cheerleaders.

Buffy stands shifting on her feet as she waits patiently. Her heart beats quickly as the door swiftly opens. Chris' mother stands on the other side staring at Buffy in confusion.

"Hi. Um, I'm a friend of Chris'. I kinda need to talk to him. Uh, do you know if he's home?"

Weirdly enough Chris' Mom ignores her and goes back inside then sits down in a chair across from a television. Buffy frowns but takes a step inside and closes the door.

"So, is he home?"

Mrs. Epps sighs looking at the television screen that plays an old football game, "Westbury game. November 17, '95. Daryl rushed 185 yards that night. Four TD's. He was MVP, and he made All-City that season."

Buffy was getting slightly annoyed by the zombie like lady. But she remembered that the lady lost her son. She was going through a traumatic time still and she had to handle this situation carefully.

"Yeah, that was a great one. Um, but is Chris home?"

Mrs. Epps shrugs, "I dunno. Is today a school day? Oh, watch! Watch this move! Daryl takes a kickoff, he sheds one, two, three defenders, and he breaks into the open field for a ninety-five yard touchdown! He was such a great player. Everyone loved him."

Buffy sighs and turns around looking around the room. She sees the basement door with its 'Keep Out' and 'No Admittance' signs.

Mrs. Epps covers her mouth as her eyes start to tear up, "He woulda been nineteen next week. He didn't deserve that..."

Buffy goes over to the basement door and opens it. As she quietly makes her way down the stairs, she swears she heard Mrs. Epps say something along the lines of 'He didn't deserve to die... she did it... it's her fault...'. Buffy was confused and wanted to know who the girl was that she was talking about. Daryl had been in a car crash so how was it anyone else's fault. Who else was involved in his death? Shaking her head she realizes that they were running out of time. She would figure out this out after they found Chris and Eric and stopped them.

Buffy looks around a bit, and then goes over to the table. There she finds the pictures of herself and Willow. She also finds the plans for the body with Cordelia's face pasted on top.

Buffy whispers, "Cordelia!"

Daryl sneaks up behind her, but the door opens and they both look up. Buffy quickly hops over to the open basement window and climbs out. Daryl watches her go.
