Like a flash, the next day went by and you found yourself on the train, headed for Sendai. The trip was around five hours, including waiting times, so you had left early and bought lunch to eat on the train.

You had a 2 and a half hour trip by shinkansen from Osaka to Tokyo and from there you would take another shinkansen from Tokyo to Sendai station, where Wakatoshi should be waiting for you.

About half an hour after boarding the train in Tokyo, you noticed that there had been snowfall here and there and another half hour later there were more places where it had snowed than not. You hoped that the coat you wore would be enough to keep you warm.

You spent your time looking out the window and playing one of the new games you bought on your handheld console. About fifteen minutes before you were scheduled to arrive, you got a message from Wakatoshi telling you he was waiting at the east exit.

When you got off the train it was around 2 pm and you hastily made your way towards your meeting place. It was quite busy and you noticed Wakatoshi waiting for you on a bench, before he spotted you in the crowd. You didn't even take notice of all the Christmas decorations as you watched him.

He was sitting, back straight, staring at something in front of him, as he so often did. You figured he came across as a bit of an airhead to some people, but you had learned that at those times he was actually thinking things over and making decisions.

As he sat there, oblivious to the heads he was turning, you felt like pinching yourself at the thought that he was waiting for you. All those girls and women passing him by would probably jump at the chance to go out with him and yet you were the only one that occupied his heart.

After effectively making yourself giddy and probably blushing like a schoolgirl, you hastily made your way over to him.

You called out to him from a short distance and as soon as he saw you he stood up from the bench and approached you. You greeted each other with a hug and he took your hand to lead you outside.

Once you left the station, you noticed that a thin blanket of snow covered the city. People were busy clearing the snow off the sidewalk here and there, so you figured that the snow had fallen recently. You came to a halt just outside the station's exit and fished the scarf out of the paper bag you were carrying.

"Here, I think you can use this." You said, happy for the fact that he wasn't wearing one already. "Merry Christmas."

He bent forward so you could put it on him and said: "Thank you. But you really shouldn't have."

"There is no way I could have shown up on Christmas without a gift." You said as you adjusted the scarf and he chuckled. When you were done he straightened himself again, but you stopped him midway by holding on to the scarf you had just put on him. You pulled, to have him lean down again, and gave him a quick kiss on the lips before releasing him.

"You seem to be in a good mood." He remarked as he stood up straight again.

"That's because I get to spend the day with you!" You said as he took your hand in his and you started walking. If anyone should have asked, you would both have blamed your red faces on the cold.

You wondered where you were going and after walking for about five minutes and passing 2 crossroads you voiced the question aloud.

"It's just over there." He said and pointed to a building that stood on the corner of the next crossroad. It looked like a normal apartment complex, you guessed about 10 stories high, that fit right in with all the other buildings surrounding it.

"What is this place?" You couldn't help but inquire further at the mysterious location and turned to look at him. You couldn't help but notice that he had the volleyball keychain dangling from his keys. The one you had gotten him a year ago, for Christmas.
