i screamed as my eyes opened fully coming out of i'm guessing my nightmare i was in.

i grabbed the blanket while i breathed in and out trying to calm down.

these nightmares have to stop.

"your okay" i jumped as i felt a hand on my back. "it's me, Nessa" roddy rubbed my back helping me calm down. "what were you dreaming about?"

"you. i had a dream that you hurt me just like lawrence" i sighed releasing the covers.

"never and i mean never, Vanessa" he turned my face. "never will i ever put my hands on a woman"

i nodded as he got out of bed.

it was day so i'm guessing he wants us to get ready for today.

i have no idea what he has planned.

"what should i wear for tonight?" i asked getting up slowly.

"whatever you want, Ness" he said walking into his bathroom.

i didn't know what to do.

if this is a date.. aren't you supposed to wear fancy stuff?

i've never been on a date..

lawrence never even let me out the house.

at least without him..

"whatchu wanna wear?" he asked as he began to brush his teeth.

"i don't know what i'm supposed to wear.. i've never been on a date" i rubbed my arm leaning against the door.

"aww you said its a date" he smiled at me before spitting the toothpaste.

"roddyy!" i whined.

"what else haven't you done?" he asked as he dried his mouth.

"i haven't had a good Christmas or birthday.. or any holiday" i grew nervous as he walked to me. "i'm sorry i should know" i looked down.

"it ain't your fault youn know" he lifted my chin. "you ever had a good relationship?" i shook my head.

"i was stuck with lawrence since 14" he shook his head.
