Gob felt the dragons call to him, he sighed in near annoyance as he had become increasingly weary of being their puppet. He climbed into his gigantic bed and prepared to fall asleep.
It was then he sensed his guards wordlessly salute an individual who seemed to be waltzing straight towards his tent.
Gob was instantly alert, there were only three persons in the encampment who could stroll into his tent unhindered.
First was the prince of Xan, second was Persus and the third....., Gob rolled his eyes in dejection as his mind conjured up the third name.
Eveliet threw his curtains open and barged into his tent as of she owned it.
Reluctantly, Gob rose and bowed to her.
"I am hurt, since you became Lord commander of assassins, it seems you have discarded me".
Safara quickly accused.
Gob opened his mouth to defend himself but nothing came out.
Eveliet watched Gob make a fool of himself for a while before she grew bored.
"But my accusations are untrue because you have been busy with your duties as Lord commander of assassins right? "
"of course "
Gob consented almost instantly.
Eveliet smiled victoriously and fell into his bed.
Gob was visibly shaken by this demonstration much so that princess Eveliet noticed.
"Fear not my plaything, no harm will come to you, sit".
Tentatively, Gob sat on the bed and stayed as far away from her as the bed would allow.
Eveliet's countenance fell and Gob noticed.
"Is all well with you?"
Gob began
"No, all isn't, I can't help having the feeling of uselessness".
" I do not follow".
"In as much as I loathe Sema, there is no denying his fighting prowess and his sound military mind same goes for Persus, they can help my brother, even Dalian whom I have so much disdain for is a capable fighter I even heard she fought against Sema back in Xan but I can do nothing, I am just a liability to my brother".
Gob studied her expression and saw genuine saddens.
" I know you, if you feel this way then you already have thought up a solution"
Eveliet grinned
"Of course I have a solution, my brother is easily the best fighter in the encampment. I'll press him to tutor me"
"He will never agree to that".
"And why is that?"
"Same reason he dots on you. He loves you and doesn't want to see you get hurt. Training you in warfare is a guarantee that you will get hurt".
"I will prevail on him, I have my ways".
Gob stared at her for a moment before speaking.
"Don't do it, you are a hot head but I do not wish to see you get hurt".
Eveliet smiled and drew close, she planted a kiss on his cheek.
"I appreciate the concern plaything but I can handle myself, do well to visit me sometime"
With those words, Eveliet arose and left Gob's tent.

The necromancer's fury knew no bounds as he paced angrily through his fortress.
The remaining nine demons and their pterodactyls bowed face first on the ground but their gesture only served to annoy him further.
He turned to his right hand man,
"What do you reckon I do with them?"
"Master, bind them as one if they could not achieve victory as a team, they shall achieve it as one".
The Necromancer mulled over those words and they pleased him. With an air of authority, he strode over to the first demon and his pterodactyl and stretched his hands over them.
Instantly, his eyes glowed and it illuminated the color of black.
Both demon and pterodactyl began to howl in pain.
Using his hands as a compass, he merged both demon and pterodactyl. He took a moment to assess the monster he has created, satisfied by his creation, he moved to the next pair.

Persus waited patiently outside the tent of the twin Queens of Asuzi. His presence had been requested and a part of his was curious as to why.
An Asuzi warrior emerged from the twin Queen's tent.
"They are ready for you Grand commander".
Persus gave a quick nod, he threw open the curtains and entered, his eyes met the red haired queen. She was munching on a piece of chicken more so, she was in garbed in her much revealing armour.
Persus quickly glanced through the tent, the sight he met, startled him.
For standing naked in all her glory was the blond queen.
Immediately, Persus turned his back to her in a bid to ensure her dignity but his gesture only drew loud laughter from both Queens.
"Don't laugh too loud you are embarrassing him"
The blond Queen chided her sister.
Persus stayed with his back turned until the Queen was fully dressed.
The red haired Queen glared at Persus in disdain.
"I have warned you about getting involved with men from Xan" the red hair rebuked her sister.
"He's not a man, he is a grand commander"
"Why am I here?"
Persus cut in, visibly incensed by the entirety of drama.
"Well, I am going on a guided tour and you will be my guide"
The blond Queen shot back.
Persus glared at her in near annoyance.
"I shall send you a man more suited for the job" He managed to reply amid his annoyance.
"What about you?"
"I am a grand commander not your personal guide"
Persus made to leave but the Queen's voice stopped him.
" I brought a substantial number of men and chariots to aid in your war, do you think it is a good idea to displease me? "
Persus sighed in resignation, he didn't need the prince Cirrus's glare to know they needed her army.
"Fine".

Gob knew he needed to meet with Dalian, he had promised her  a walk and he had to honor it.
He grabbed his belongings and left his tent without his guards.

Persus led the Queen through the  vast structures of the encampment.
"This is the encampment kitchens, it is where everything is cooked".
Persus pointed out.
"Everyone eats from here?"
"Yes"
"Isn't that stupid, what if the enemy poisons the food?"
"The enemy we are facing aren't interested in poison, their preference is in butchering".
"I see"
The blond Queen stared at Persus for a while causing the grand commander discomfort.
"why do you gaze at me so?"
" Of truth, you are handsome. Come, hold my hand".
"That isn't part of the tour" Persus retorted.
"Fine,  I'll hold your hand"
With that, the Queen took his hand in hers.
"Your palm is quite hard"
The Queen commented.
"I have been fighting all my life I guess it what happens".
"Aren't you tired of it, the fighting"
"Never, I live to fight. I come from a king line of great warriors. Fighting is in my blood".
The Queen smiled.
"Do you think you could defeat me in a fight?"
"You?"
Persus asked in total amusement.
"Do not underestimate me, you have never seen me fight"
"You are right, I have never seen you fight but I never saw any of my enemies fight either and they are all dead".
The Queen laughed at his arrogance.
"How about a wager, if I defeat you in a fight, you'll take me touring every evening. What do you want?"
"You have nothing I want " Persus returned.
"How about this, If I lose, my army is yours to do with as you please".
"You seem very confident. How do we determine the winner?"
"The first person would falls in his back looses".
Persus could help grinning he knew he could defeat a dozen of her with his eyes closed he just had to ensure he did not hurt her too bad in the process.
"Attack then" he urged.
"Not so fast commander, I have a question. How much do you love your country?"
"I could die for it"
"What do you think would happen if I walked away with my army?"
"I don't exactly follow"
"Well then,  I shall put it in clearer terms. I will push you with a finger and you will fall to the ground. If you do not, I shall walk away from Xan alongside my army and it will be your fault"
With that, the Queen delivered a push to him with nothing but her finger. Persus was stunned but when the Queen shot him a warning glare, he had little choice but to fall to the ground dutifully.
This caused the blond Queen to smile victoriously. Persus could not believe he had played right into her hands.
She offered him a hand but Persus rejected it and make his way up on his own.
"That was cheating" he accused.
Without warning, the Queen threw herself into his arms and without leaving him room to react kissed him square on the lips.
Instinctively, Persus shut his eyes and returned her kiss.
Slowly, the blond Queen broke the kiss.
"You lost my love and now I have you all to myself every evening"
Persus was about to protest when his sight caught Gob and Dalian from afar.
"I need to go" He announced bluntly.
"Why, are you bored of me already?"
The Queen followed his line of sight and saw the couple.
"Is she your woman?" She questioned jealousy evident in her voice.
"No, she isn't"
The Queen gave Persus a quizzical look before replying.
"Fine, just be at my tent tomorrow evening"
He gave her a nod of acknowledgement and watched her walk away before stalking after Gob and Dalian.

Gob and Dalian talked about everything, their teenage years, their time in Xan, their present predicament and everything far between.
This went on till the light of the moon covered the earth casting its silver light over all.
The couple paused their conversation to marvel at the beauty of the moon.
It was then Dalian broke the silence.
"Am sorry for rejecting you back in Xan".
"It is fine. Perhaps we were not meant to be"
"I truly love you Gob and I wish to be yours".
" My heart belongs to another Dalian".
"Is it Eveliet?"
"Eveliet isn't in love with me, she regards me as a possession, nothing more".
"You truly are blind but I think we should say our goodbyes. I do not intend to live a life pining for someone who does not want me".
Gob pulled her into a tight hug.
"Your soulmate is out there Dalian, I have no doubt, you shall find him".
Unknown to the couple, grand commander Persus was eavesdropping on them in the darkness and unknown to Persus, the unnamed was a few kilometers spying on them and unknown to the Unnamed, Prince Cirrus was high up on a tree watching the entire scene unfold.
