"Jihyo. Jihyo, wait! Hear me out first, please!"

Mina tried everything just to prevent the girl to go anywhere, which the latter dodges and still finds way to move.

"You don't have to explain, Ms. Myoui. I completely understand the situation."

Mina frozed.

She does? She thought.

"T-Then why are you leaving? Why are you avoiding me? Is it because of what the guy said earlier? If it is—"

"It is not, Ms. Myoui. It's just that... we can't. Y-You're a vampire and I'm a– nevermind. I might just put your life in more danger if we stayed connected with each other."

Mina creased her brows before slowly walking towards where Jihyo is, making Jihyo walk backwards until she felt a wall behind her, and now, she's being sandwiched between the wall and her boss.

Their faces only inches apart as Mina locked their gazes together.

"Why? Why can't we be together? I'm a vampire, YES but I'm also a human just like you before. I was a human before I turned into a vampire."

"W-What?"

"I was in my Senior Year back then when one of my friends invited me to her birthday party, and that night, I met that guy from earlier. He was the reason why I am this kind of monster now."

"Mina, you're not a mons—"

"I am. I am, Jihyo. I drank many people's blood during casual hook ups but I still made sure that it won't harm them and would not remember anything from what happened. I almost killed a lot of random strangers because of my hunger, even my own parents disowned me as they don't want a monster like me."

"But you still restrained yourself from hurting me."

Mina stopped and just stared in Jihyo's eyes, letting herself be lost in those brown orbs of hers.

"You have a bloodlust from me but for all the months we've been together at work, did you hurt me? You did not. That one time we slept together, did you bit me and suck my blood? You did not, because if you did, I would've been a vampire just like you as well already."

"It's because you're different from others. You're not just an ordinary stranger or person for me."

Jihyo remained silent as she already know what Mina means about that.

She's not dumb to not realize what the latter's have been doing with her for the past few months she worked with her.

"W-We can't, Mina. I don't want to cause more danger to your life. I would choose you, Yes but..."

"But what? What's been holding you to love me back, Jihyo?! Me being a vampire, me being a monster or me having a bloodlust for you?! Which one?!"

"Neither of those."

Mina frozed, tears slowly flowing down her cheeks.

"I'm a Vervain, Mina."

Mina once again frozed on her spot, eyes widen in shock on what she just heard from Jihyo.

"Y-Youre a what?"

"My parents told me everything about vampires since I was little. All about how evil they were and how they wanted to harm humans. They used to say they were vampire hunters that killed vampires but I never believed on any of those. I never believed in vampires and I never believed that my parents are killers, but it makes sense now. We all have matching necklaces, see."

Jihyo showed Mina her necklace.

"When they gave it to me to match theirs, they said it was laced with vervain to protect me from vampires. Now that I'm an adult and they said that they gave up on hunting already, I need something to protect me from vampires. I never believed that either but the necklace looks pretty so I took it and wear it everyday. It's a gift from them, anyways. And maybe that's why you can't read my mind as well."

Jihyo looked at Mina who's still frozen and probably still buffled at what she had just stated.

Slowly placing her hand on the latter's cheek, Mina leaned in on her touch as well.

"That's why we can't, Mina. I came from a killer's family, a vampire hunters to be specific. I don't want to risk you and your life."

"But I am. I am willing to risk my life just to be with you, Jihyo."

Jihyo plastered a small smile on her face, slowly leaning in and capturing Mina's lips.

Encircling her arms around Mina's neck, Mina's arms then snaked on her waist as well.

"Your parents doesn't have to know about us. Let's runaway together, let's go to a place far from here."

Mina pressed their foreheads together as they both catch their breaths from the kiss they've just shared seconds ago.

"Then tell me the magic word and remove my necklace."

Mina smiled before slowly grazing her hands on Jihyo's neck, sliding through her necklace.

"I love you, Park Jihyo."

With that, Mina collided their lips together at the same time by removing Jihyo's necklace and smashing it by stomping on it.

"I love you too, Myoui."

They both giggled at each other.

Just how fast things could happen.

Mina engulf the latter in a hug, nuzzling her face on the crook of Jihyo's neck, only to be clouded by her bloodlust for her once again as soon as she smelled her scent.

But she fought for it.

She doesn't want to hurt Jihyo.

"You're turning pale..."

"I'm fighting my bloodlust for you."

Jihyo stopped to think for a moment.

"We've been talking for a while now and I know you're already thirsty."

"No. I can still resist it. I don't want to hurt you."

"I'm sure you won't, Babe and besides... I trust you, remember?"

"Jihyo..."

"I trust you and I'm telling you to have your way on me. I want you to suck me."

"A-Are you sure?"

"Yes. I want you to taste me and get your fill."

That's all Mina has to hear before she brought her mouth toJihyo's neck and attacked.

A vampire having a bloodlust for the one she loves the most isn't easy to control and resist but if you trully love them, you could.
