The Only String Attached

INTERVIEW

Mahir and Bela take their seats on the couch along with Mahira.The writer sits opposite to them with the interview paper.

Fumbling how to put all these questions in front of them,the writer seems worried.

Shreya:Hey welcome to the interview of 'The Only String Attached'.

Mahir:You are a teenager and you worked hard making us suffer?And hi to you.

Writer scoffs with anger looking at Mahir,and Mahir just shrugs it off.

Bela:Mahir behave!She writes our story,and she is a one talented girl to give us a beautiful story.Sorry dear,and we are glad to talk to you.

The writer winks at Mahir with attitude and Mahir gives a 'whatever'look.

Shreya: Welcome to the interview Bela and my cupcake Mahira. I have a bunch of questions in my hands for you three.

Bela:Ya we can see that,excited to hear those questions though.

Shreya:So Mahir,put down your grumpy attitude and listen to the questions properly.Did you get that?

Mahir:OK fine,go for it.

Mahir scoffs looking angrily at the writer.

Shreya:OK so the first question is for you Mr.Mahir Sehgal. It's a repeated question and many wants to know this answer.

Mahir:OK you and your readers!!Go for it. Ask.

Mahir sits with annoyance while giving a murderous glare towards the writer,while Mahira is having her cookie smiling at the writer.

Shreya:So,what would you do if Bela had proposed you before you proposed Bani?Would you accept Bela that time?

Bela shifts uncomfortably at her place,while Mahir looks at Bela with a sad face.Mahira is constantly staring at the writer with a "who are you'look.

Mahir:Well...I won't lie,I was in love with Bani.If Bela had proposed me before I proposed Bani...it would have been different.Since I loved Bani first..I..I would have rejected Bela..because I myself dint knew that I loved Bela.And I had a late realization and I'm still shameful for that. And you are putting me in a spot!!!

Shreya:Trust me Mahir,there are many more to come.So I'm happy you realized that you had a late realization!!

Writer smiles brightly at Mahir and Mahir looks away.

Shreya:Next question is for you Bela.
Would you give yourself a second chance to move on in your life if Bani would have not died today.Would you move on with some other person?

Bela looks surprised after listening to this question and Mahir was impatiently waiting for her to answer.

Bela:Well..I..guess everyone knew how much I love him.I will be happy if my sister would be alive today...and moving on with some other person..is not in my plate.I'm only his's.If I'm not his's,I can't be someone else's.

Writer glares at Mahir for putting Bela in that situation and Mahir too looked guilt ridden.Mahira sat on Mahir's lap playing with his day old stuble.

Shreya:Well that's a pure form of love I've seen Bela.I hope to get a person like you in my life,not someone like...leave it.Next question to Mahir.

Mahir is continuesly shooting daggers at the writer and the writer seems less bothered.

Shreya:What would you do if you realized that you love Bela while Bani was carrying your child?Would you break the wedding and go to Bela..or something else?
