It had been a relaxing few days at Bobby's. You needed a break after the incident which the boys completely agreed with. You still felt guilty about everything but didn't discuss it with anyone because you knew they wouldn't understand. At least not fully.

Dean had asked if he could sleep in your room with you but you told him no since you didn't want to be a burden, plus with everything that had gone on in the last week, and knowing he didn't feel the same way kind of ruined the connection you had.

You had spent most of the days alone in your room translating or in your garden listening to music on your speaker, and took early morning runs long before Sam would get up just so you wouldn't have to make awkward small talk. You tried to be alone but it didn't always work how you expected. The boys would try and come in to ask if they could help with anything which you told them no, they even asked if you wanted a specific hunt they had found but you declined. You felt like a monster, and you just wanted to keep everyone away to make sure they didn't get caught in the crossfire.

***Sam POV***

Y/n had not been the same since we rescued her from the demon. Whatever he did, he really did a number on her. She snapped and she was having a hard time forgiving herself for letting her dark side consume her. To be honest, it was a little scary seeing her that way but I know that it wasn't her. It was whatever demon juice they pumped into her which I had some experience with... I noticed she was getting up earlier than me in the mornings to go for a run so I decided to join her. It was 4:30 am and I sat in the dark kitchen waiting for her to come in before going on her run.

"Sam?" she asked flipping on the light. "What are you doing sitting here in the dark?"

She gave me a confused look which made me laugh. "I wanted to go on a run with you" I state.

"You don't normally get up this early," she said eyeing me up and down.

"Well, you have been so I figured I would join you"

"Sam-" she said a little angry so I cut her off.

"Y/n please stop avoiding us. We all love you and are worried sick about you. We know it wasn't fully your fault. We forgive you, all that is left is for you to forgive yourself"

She stared at me with her big e/c eyes and nodded. "You can come on a run with me," she said and I couldn't help the smile from growing on my face.

We ran for a couple of hours only taking a break once in the middle of a field to watch the sunrise. We chatted and laughed and I could feel the old y/n coming back and it felt good. I had missed my best friend and I knew Dean was missing her too. He had been miserable and grumpy since y/n wouldn't really talk to him. He would always talk to me about how he 'fucked it up' when he didn't reply to y/n when she finally admitted her feelings for him, and I agreed. He did but he needed to fix it because they were perfect for each other.

After getting back and sharing a coffee with y/n, Bobby came in. "Well, look at you two," Bobby said with a grin. "Glad to see you both up and energized, but it smells like you need a shower"

I watched as y/n rolled her eyes and kissed Bobby on the cheek before heading downstairs.

"Is she doing any better?" Bobby asked me, concern on his face.

"I think so," I say giving him a reassuring smile.

He just nods and sits down opening his newspaper as usual. I head upstairs to take a shower but Dean walks straight into me. "You're up early"

"Yeah," he says sleepily. "Did I hear y/n earlier?"

"Yeah we went on a run together this morning"
