Vihaan Singh Chauhan had always been a guarded man

Vihaan Singh Chauhan had always been a guarded man. Gone were the days when he used to be one of the cheeriest people around. His wounds were deep. Neither anybody tried to mend it, nor did he let anyone do that. Now he had become more stoic, serious, uncompassionate, and cold. Nobody's feelings ever mattered to him. All that mattered to him was his family, except his wife.

His past had changed his personality completely. Adding to that, the vigorous training he had gone through before he was appointed an IPS officer made him more secluded and somewhat rude.

In his teens, he always forgave everyone as he felt that everybody deserves a second chance. But now, the situation had become entirely opposite. Now, he never forgave anyone easily. Also, his job never allowed him to do that. He could be ruthless towards his culprits and anyone who disrespected the law.

He was merely twenty-one when he was bound in wedlock with a person whom he had never seen before. He was forced into this relationship by his parents. But what he didn't know was that his parents had taken this decision to protect him. He was angry, very angry. He didn't speak to them for almost six months after his wedding.

But his anger dissipated the day his mother called him and started crying over the phone.

He was angry and frustrated at that time, and he took out his entire anger at his newly wedded wife on their wedding night and left the house. He knew that his wife wasn't timid when he was lashing out at her. She was simply controlling herself as he had observed her hands balling into a fist. He never paid attention to her all these years. She just simply didn't exist for him until a week before.

He always knew about her in one or the other way as his family always filled in with her details even if he did not wish to hear them. Akanksha this, Akanksha that, he was jealous of her as she had won everyone's heart in a less span of time. All he could hear were the praises of their favourite daughter-in-law, Akanksha.
