Tinawagan ni Marinel si Micaela. Kinausap ito tungkol sa article sa dyaryo.
"Pasensiya ka na." Sabi ni Marinel kay Micaela. "We cannot really avoid these reporters wala kang maitago. That is one of the disadvantages ng trabaho natin.
"Okay lang no problem Ms. Marinel. I was just surprised na may ganoong issue agad nakakahiya naman sa inyo when we are all just doing our work." sagot ni Marinel.
"And the press are just doing their work too. Well eventually you will get used to it."
Iniabot Marinel ang isang envelope kay Micaela.
"This is your ATM card and the medical insurance card. Your one month salary has been credited to your account as per Zian's request."
Nagulat si Micaela. "W-What?"
"Yes. Alam mo nagtataka nga ako dyan kay Zian... he normally does credit the salary of his PA in advance pero alam mo bang ikaw pa lang ang pinag-stay niyan sa penthouse?"
"Ms. Marinel, bakit nga pala madalas umaalis ang mga PA ni Zian?"
"Good question." Tumayo ito at may kinuhang folder sa shelf at saka bumalik sa kinauupuan.
"This year I have at least three PAs until last Christmas. Yung isa na late ng dating, kinabukasan he was fired. The other one sinagot si Zian... go. The last one hindi sinunod ang instructions niya. Fired. He is really an impossible boss."
They were in this discussion when Charina came barging in.
"Marinel! I need an explanation for this." Pabagsak na inilagay nito ang diyaryo sa mesa.
"Well. I can't give you one dahil hindi ko alam ang tungkol dyan."
"Is this some kind of a joke?!"
"Hey, easy Charina. publicity is still publicity. No need to get angry."
Bumaling si Charina kay Micaela na noon ay tahimik lang.
"You did this on purpose, huh?"
"Ako? eh wala naman akong kilalang press and besides sinusunod ko lang ang utos ni Zian. Wala akong alam diyan."
"This will ruin our movie. I will have an interview... a press con... a... a..." tuloy tuloy ma sabi ni Charina.
"Calm down Charina Levila. Sabi niyo nga sa mga escapades nyo ni Zian. It will die a natural death."
Yung bilis na pasok ni Charina sa opisina. Siya ding bilis nitong lumabas na inis na inis.
Napakibit balikat na lang si Marinel habang nakatingin sa akin.
