Zian and Tita Bella gave us a chance to talk privately. Kami ng tatay ko. It was not the way I planned but just the same para matapos na. Sige na Micaela.

We all proceeded to the topiary of the hotel. Zian and tita Bella were on a separate table while my father and I on the other side.

Kaunti lang ang tao noon at dahil kakatapos lang namin mag dinner. We ordered drinks na lang.

Despite the mixed emotions I intently listened to what my father has to say.

"I cheated on Bella...with your mom."

Nagulat ako.

"What do you mean?! I asked."

"Your mother was my secretary. She was sweet, so lovely... mabait. I fell for her kahit ikakasal na kami ni Bella noon."

Ibig sabihin kabit ang nanay ko?

"Don't get me wrong. I loved your mom. Kaya nga nandiyan ka."

I learned later on that Tita Bella gave way for me the reason why namulat at lumaki ako nasa isang buong pamilya but my mother eventually realized na hindi siya magiging masaya kung nakikita niyang malungkot ang best friend niya. She gave in.

Ang nanay ko at si tita Bella. Best friends?!

"She declined all our offers. Bahay, education, sustento everything. Gusto kasi sana ng tita Bella mo to give you everything... we were with you all along it's just that we respected your mom's request. To leave you alone hanggang nabubuhay siya. Wala kaming anak ni Bella she cannot conceive."

My mother was a tough woman kinaya niya lahat, she raised me on her own.

"Kaya when we saw you with Zian Sandoval. Nang pumutok ang balita, ang pangalan mo. Alam kong dapat na itama ang lahat ng mali at si Zian ang naging tulay nang lahat ng ito."

"Yung scholarship ko for next year, ano po ang kinalaman niyo doon?"

"I know your Dean and I know nang mawala ang sponsorship. I offered pero ayaw mo daw sabi niya. Hindi ko alam kung sino ang nag-absorb but anyway, with or without the scholarship makakapag-aral ka Micaela. Nandito ako I can give you the best of the world."

Kung hindi ang tatay ko sino at ano ang kinalaman ng clause sa scholarship with regards sa trabaho ko kay Zian...

All is well that ends well sabi nga nila. I realized once you learn to accept & forgive lalong gumagaan ang pakiramdam nababawasan ang bigat sa buhay.

I can't wait to tell Meg sana umuwi na siya galing probinsiya.

"So, I am looking forward to have you at the house." sabi ni Tita Bella. The whole Alano Mansion is waiting for you anytime anak."

"Salamat po. Sayang naman din kasi ang offer ni Zian na free lodging while I am working for him."

"Zian I am expecting that you be fair to my daughter while she is working for you or else mawawalan ka ng assistant... I have heard things about you ha." sabi ni Senator Alano.

Nagbabanta ang tatay ko.

"Definitely Senator... makakaasa kayo."
