Jimin's POV

I laughed as I tried to push Hoseok away from smothering me in kisses. He caught me on the way to the kitchen. My fingers had barely brushed against the handle before hands wrapped around my waist and hoisted me back. Soon after, I recognized Hoseok's familiar chuckle before he turned me around and pressed lots of kisses upon my face.

"Hobi! Ah, let go!" It took a couple more seconds of squirming before he finally relented and stopped his attack. I peeked my eyes open to see Hoseok sporting a radiant beam as he looked down at me with a familiar look of fondness. I let out a smile before leaning up and placing a gentle peck upon his lips before backing away with a jolt. He tried to chase me forwards, but I turned in his hold and easily slipped out.

Wagging my finger in his face, he playfully tried to nip it but I quickly moved it away.

"I was gonna surprise y/n! At this rate, she must know we're out here."

"Ah, I see. I was planning to steal a cookie, but I guess both of our covers were blown. Oops."

He let out a chuckle as I playfully rolled my eyes and lifted a hand up to my lips in a 'shush' gesture. He nodded in affirmation before I pivoted around to face the door and gently braced my hand upon the handle to slowly turn it.

I held my breath as the door opened inwards painfully slow. Luckily, no creaks were heard and once I had it opened enough to peek in, I let out a breath of relief. Poking my head in, I was instantly hit with the scent of baked goods. It smelled heavenly and I let out a small sigh, before focusing in on the countertops and noticing nobody was there. Confused, I opened the door further as Hoseok looked over my head to see in.

Glancing around, I didn't hear or notice anything out of place. Turning over my shoulder, Hoseok simply shrugged before strolling in without a care. His footsteps were still light, but his jittery form couldn't hide the eagerness for the prize displayed on the counter. I carefully followed behind as I glanced around the spacious kitchen and tried to see if someone was hiding somewhere because this was too suspicious.

Seokjin's grandma doesn't simply leave cookies out in the open without guarding i- shit.

I whipped my head towards Hoseok, only to see him already reaching for a cookie on a plate.

Then, like a horror movie, I swear I saw a glint before a flash of movement popped up from behind the counter and a sudden slap was heard. Hoseok's yelp followed right after and then I recognized the familiar form of a resident elderly lady who doesn't like trespassers with ill intent in the kitchen.

"Why you! Here is the first of you to try to steal one, eh?"

"Dang it!"

"Good try, boy, but you better be glad you didn't make it far!"

"I was so ready to make a run for it!"

"I bet you were, huh. Too bad. Try again tomorrow."

Hoseok let out a pout as Seokjin's grandmother narrowed her eyes at him before whipping her head over to me. I immediately put my hands up in surrender before taking a few steps back for safety.

"I wasn't gonna try to steal one! I was looking for y/n, I swear!"

She fixed a look at me for a moment longer before dropping the wooden rolling pin in her hands onto the table that I just registered she was hiding behind her back.

"Okay, I believe you. I know when you youngins lie. As for her, hmm... I did let her go a bit ago. She may not have gone far."

"Oh, I see. Thank you!"
