Post Clone War: Fives x Reader

         5 months after the war ended

   The war was brought to a quick end after the clones found out about their inhibitor chips. The Jedi Council asked the clones if they wanted to get them removed to which they all replied a quick yes. Their answer being, "We have learned to be our own individual people thanks to you. We would like to continue our work alongside you with no worries of turning on you against our control. If you'll still allow us and accept us." The Jedi happily accepted them. Lama Su the leader of Kamino was arrested for treason alongside the rest of his people including his senator.
   Clones were nolonger produced, and he confessed his peoples involvement as well as his. Then revealed that the people behind the atrocity were Supreme Chancellor Palpatine and Count Dooku. Dooku was assassinated by his own separatist party, and the Chancellor was shown to be the Sith Lord behind it all. Killed in self defense by, newly appointed Jedi Master and senate representative for the Jedi Council, Anakin Skywalker. Senator Padme Amidala was elected Supreme Chancellor by majority vote in the senate. Mace Windu was murdered by the Supreme Chancellor during his arrest attempt. As for today? You were intercepting some very important guests in your home.
   Your name in the Jedi Order had become legend. You were the only one who had actually listened to Fives when he told you Anakin and Rex about the chip. At the mention of the Chancellor's involvement Anakin did not believe a word he was saying. Rex started to follow his train of thought until you mentioned your old master.

                 ~Flashback~

   "Skywalker listen to him. You even told me the other day that you believed that the chancellor might even be the sith lord. My Master always said 'Take heed of the words you might not want to hear because they might be true. The truth may be clouded by your own personal feelings and opinions.' Please listen to what he has to say, because you have been groomed by that man your whole life. Search deep into your own mind and you might just find the truth you seek." You said pleading to him. You could feel the anger building up inside of him as he turned around to look at you.
   "Maybe it's your feelings that are wrong. Maybe you're a traitor to the republic as well." He used the force to pick you up by your throat and started to choke you. You grasped at the invisible hand around your throat and felt a tear roll down your cheek. You glanced to Fives who was horrified by the scene infront of him. You risked a glance to Rex who seemed to have just reached some sort of resolve.
   You looked back at Fives and regret never telling him your emotions for him. You mouthed the words, 'I love you.' Just when your world started to go black Rex seemed to snap out of his surprise and punched Anakin on the jaw. Effectively distracting him so that you could breath again. You let out a shaky breath as your eyes met scared blue ones.
   Anakin continued to look between you and his hands as though he didn't realize he was doing what he was doing. He took a step forward to help you up, and instinctively you crawled away from him into the arms of Rex. He turned to Fives who was still very shocked and standing still on the spot.
   "Fives let us out of here... Please. I-I need to go and think. Spend time in meditation with the grandmasters and the Council." You could here the guilt in his voice and hear the pain he had just caused himself. Before you could react the rayshield released and Anakin was gone. Rex helped you to your feet and Fives basically tackled you in a hug and started inspecting you for any wounds. You heard Rex behind you talking on his comm.
   "Tanaka we need a ride back... And a safe house location that the repu lic doesn't know about." Rex said to your master.
   "I have felt such things and my transport is already on its way. We should station someone with him to make sure that he is safe. Luckily I have just the person. The Jedi are now an independent entity in the republic once again. Those who have elected to are still serving as generals in the Grand Army, but some have decided to retreat their own hands from this war. Just be ready to leave when I get there." She looked around her to make sure noone was around. "And Rex?"
   "Yes Tanaka?" Her black and gold eyes looked into his for a moment.
   "I love you."
   "I have company Tana."
   "I know. Has she told him yet?" She asked curiously.
   "No, but I'll debrief you on what happened down here... Oh and Tana I love you too." He ended the comm and turned back to us. "You two be ready to go as soon as she gets here. She should be close by now." He walked over and leaned on a crate watching for her transport.
   "Fives... I'm so sorry I didn't tell you before, but I love you. I know it is forbidden for me to have such feelings and you are unallowed to have them too. I just can't help it. I know you probably don't feel the same way but with me just going through what I just went through? I needed to tell you." He looked into your eyes and kissed you. It was short but passionate enough to knock the air from your lungs for the second time that night.
   "I love you too. I have for a while now." Just then the sound of a transport landing near you jolted you and Fives a couple feet away from eachother.
   "My friends please. Come quickly we haven't much time." She walked back into her transport after she got Rex into her arms. You and Fives following shortly behind her. You could tell Fives was expecting an interrogation the moment he walked in, but was met with a hug from your master instead.
