He woke up to the sound of someone sneaking out. Thinking it was one of the boys he rolled over to face the door to see which one it was. It was (Y/n) dragging Fives with her. He rolled his eyes the got out of bed to follow them.
"Why did you want to learn to meditate again Fives? I was still basically asleep when you told me." (Y/n) asked curiously.
"Well I want to be able to clear my head when things get too hot, and I want to learn my place in all of this." He sounded somewhat sad.
"Well if you're confused as to what your place in all of this is why not ask the good Captain? He'd be happy to help his brother."
"I would, but I feel like he'd get mad at me for doing something that doesn't have anything to do with the GAR."
"Wait a minute... Please tell me that you aren't considering desertion?" I heard the plea in her voice.
"What? No! I love serving... I just wish I could have more." Rex heard the shuffling of clothes and assumed the both of you were now sitting. He turned the corner and looked at the both of you.
"Mind if I join?" He must've been a sight since he was still in just his blacks.
"I was wandering if you were going to join us or just continue to stand around the corner. Please have a seat Captain I reserved it just for you." She patted the ground next to her and Fives. "Tell me what bothers you Rex. Mind you I am a bit rusty. Just kinda gained back some of my memory of the last few months and all." Rex chuckled.
"Why would Krell do that? I understand if he thought the Jedi were going to lose this war, but my question is... I thought the Jedi had a never ending will to do the right thing. I thought that they were supposed to hold compassion for everyone." (Y/n) sighed.
"This would be a question more suited for Master Tsurei, but I don't have any of my old comm numbers. She always told me that TRUE Jedi held compassion and an unbreakable will, and war tended to be a good way to find a weak link. General Krell might've been a good peace keeper, but this war has shown that he was not as compassionate as he made himself out to be. Its nothing any of you did, but something that he himself lacked. To answer your question Fives your life is what you make of it. Yes you serve in the GAR and yes relationships are forbidden for you, but who knows what will be available to you after the war. Now to meditation. Close your eyes and clear your minds. You will find your inner peace once you clear your head. Relax and listen to the world around you. Once all is quiet you have found it." She felt as both left their worry to hang in wait as they both felt stress free. Like they weren't currently in a war. "You boys are naturals. I do believe it's either time to get ready for Skywalker's arrival or go back to sleep." They looked up from where they were.
"I suppose you're right (Y/n)." Rex stood up from where he was, and offered to help Fives up as well. "For the record I feel so much better."
"I do too. I always wandered how you Jedi were able to do that for extended periods of time. Well now I know." They turned and headed in to get dressed for the day. (Y/n) made way to perch on a crate near where they were just meditating. She paid so much attention to the other two meditating that she forgot to do it herself. So that's just what she did. So many questions. Not enough answers.
"Sir we need you in the tower." She acknowledged.
"On my way." She got up from where she was and went to the very top of the tower. "Rex what's up?"
"Thought it would be more surprising if he walked in here and found you standing here." He chuckled the response. As if on cue his transport landed and he made his way off the transport. This was it the moment of truth. She turned and observed the holomap infront of her. A few seconds after she did the elevator opened and there was an audible gasp from him.
"(Y/n)? How is this possible I thought you died?" He went to stand by her.
"Well once I was away from everyone Count Dooku decided he wanted a new apprentice. So he had the troops that survived the shift aim fire on me set to stun. I had no choice in the matter. He got what he wanted in the end..." She then went into the entire story not missing a detail. He seemed to cling onto every word that she said. "Then I came here and Krell... He was treating these men like pawns. Like they were his play things... He just killed them with no qualms and I-I killed him Master."
"Well if he was going to join the sepratists then its best that it happened when it did." He could still sense the unease in her.
"Master I killed him while he was unarmed, and bound." She whispered, and then hung her head in shame. He put his hand on her shoulder.
"We'll figure something out. As for now its great to have you back. Let's get you home, and uh by the way black looks great on you. It might just be your color."
"I thought that earlier too!" She laughed  and he led her back to his ship so they could go home. In the end the grand council figured it was just a problem with controlling the difference between the real her, and the her Dooku created. So they allowed her to rejoin, but after some serious meditation sessions.
