Charlottes PoV:

I woke up to my alarm at 6:15 and rolled over to check my phone for notifications, part of my incredibly healthy morning routine.

I frowned as I saw messages from my mother and sighed as I unlocked my phone.

I was pretty sure these texts were from her drunk but I couldn't accurately decipher whether that was the case or if this was just her true nature.

I skimmed over the messages before getting ready for my lecture, I gently woke Eliza up because she hated alarm clocks and walked into my wardrobe to pick out an outfit.

I originally picked out a burgundy crop top and black leggings with some short black heeled boots until Eliza physically took them from my grasp and shook her head.

"No way, you've got to dress smarter than this today because you're meeting your mother for that custody case." She ordered and I rolled my eyes, she was right.

I had my lecture with Katie first thing but then afterwards I had a court meeting regarding my visitation rights with Amy, I was panicking because it was still up to my mother whether she cancelled that meeting and withdrew any rights, since she had full legal custody over Amy but if she let this meeting go ahead, I might be able to see Amy when I choose.

There was an instinct in my stomach that my mother was going to cancel this meeting after holding i'm my hopes for months since we input it to the diary. The fact that I hadn't met her for that organised visit a few days ago wasn't instilling me with confidence because I pissed her off and now she'll want to do the same.

I settled on black trousers and a black tank top with a blazer and vans. I knew it would spark questions from my classmates but I needed to appear in a suitable state if I want any hope of winning against the woman who's robbed me of everything.

I did a light face of makeup before grabbing my handbag and phone, waiting for Eliza who of course turned up in her slightly alternative style.
