Chapter 1

Chaeyoung's POV

"So, are you just gonna stare at her?" 

I almost cuss from the shock when I heard her whisper in my ear. 

Damn it! 

Can't she call me first before scaring the hell out of me?! 

I looked at her frowning. 

"I called you three times already but you weren't answering. You were too focus" 

She said to defend herself.

"Shut up." I said and went back to whom I was looking at. 

"I can introduce you to her, you know.--"

I cut her off by telling her that we need to go home. 

"We'll go home together? That's new."

She said surprised. 

I nibbled on my lower lip and avoided her gaze.

It's Dahyun. She's a close friend of mine. 

We're living together, along with Tzuyu who's also a close friend. 

"Where are your things? Is it still in the library?" 

She asked when she noticed that I don't have my bag with me. 

"I thought your shift is until 6 PM?" 

She added. 

"The Librarian said I can go home already." 

I said and took the steps to the Library. 

Everyone we passed by are being greeted by Dahyun. 

She's a very outgoing person. I'm the opposite. 

Dahyun is already in fourth year college while I'm still in second year. Our age is one year apart but we're the same height. 

Not that small. 

When we arrived at the Library, only the Librarian was present. 

No students.

The Librarian is the temporary substitute of the former Librarian.

She's still young tho. Fresh graduate, I think. 

Well, most of the students going here are couples. 

They're not opening the books, they're opening each other's buttons. 

This Library is for the students to learn something academically but they're learning something different. 

Something worldly. 

I observed that there's only a few students who came here to read books. 

One of those is Mina. 

"Tomorrow, your vacant is at 11 AM, right?" 

The Librarian asked me and I nodded. 

When I went back studying, I needed a work or a scholarship so I decided to apply for it. 

It was hard at first but then, I'm already used to it. 

It's been months since I became Student Assistant here in the Library. 

I work here in my vacant time and they'll pay for my tuition.
