Chapter 54

Chaeyoung 

I excused myself from Somi when I saw Mina went outside. 

Somi held my arm before I could go. 

"I wish you the best, Chaeng." 

Somi said and let go of my arm. Somi and I never really lost communication. 

She's currently dating a celebrity and she's happy with that person. 

When I went outside, I saw Mina looking at the night sky. 

I stayed where I am while looking at her admiring the stars in the night sky. 

She became more beautiful. Not even the TV can justify how gorgeous she is in person. 

When I saw her a while ago, I confirmed something. 

When I saw her for the first time after 3 years, I realized something. 

"Chaeyoung?" 

I was brought back to reality when I heard Mina called me. She's already in front of me. 

"Are you okay?" 

She asked when I didn't answer. I nodded and was about to go back inside when Mina held my shoulder. 

I turned to face her and I was greeted by a warm hug. 

Mina's hugging me. 

"You should have hugged me when you first saw me a while ago." 

I heard her whisper in my ear. 

Since when did she become this bold? 

"You hugged Somi but you didn't even bother to hug me."

She whispered again. She's still clinging unto me. 

"I missed you, Chaebae." 

I gulped. Hearing it from her again made my heart beat faster. 

"I did miss you." 

She repeated. I wasn't able to respond immediately so Mina let go of the hug to look at me.

"Chaeyoung…." 

I blinked when Mina started wiping my face. I also tried to touch my face and I was surprised that it's wet. 

"I'm so----" 

I wasn't able to finish what I was saying when Mina pulled me for a kiss. 

A kiss?! 

It lasted for a few seconds until she let go. I can't look at her. 

"You kissed me before so I was trying to take what you stole from me." 

Mina chuckled when I avoided her gaze. My ears are getting hot. 

We stayed there standing until Mina started to talk again. 

"Seriously Chaebae, can we talk?" 

She said. I didn't answer. I'm still shocked about the kiss. 

It's the first time I received a kiss from someone..

And it's from Mina. 

"Or let's just kiss until the night ends?" 

I looked at her. My eyes widened by her sudden words. 

Is she really Mina? 

"Is it a yes?" 

Mina stepped closer. She's a bit taller than me. 

"Yeah.. Let's tal----" 

Mina claimed my lips once again. This time, she kissed me deeper, letting me feel how she wanted to do this with me. 

I wasn't able to respond because in the first place, I don't know how. 

I don't even know if what I did to her three years ago is worth it to be called a kiss! 

She's.. Moving way too fast. She held my waist and even pulled me closer to her. 

She just stopped when the door opened and some visitors came out. 

"We're not yet done Chaebae. We'll do it 'til the night ends." 

She whispered. I'm sweating, really. 

"I was saying we can talk." 

I said. That was what I wanted to say but she kissed me before I could continue my answer!

"But you seemed to like it, Chaebae." 

Mina teased. I just walked away from her and returned inside. 

I'm a bit embarrassed. 

There's also some visitors looking at us. 

I took the beer from Nayeon's hand and directly poured it into my mouth. 

Mina's lips don't contain any percentage of alcohol but why do I feel like I got drunk by that kiss? 

"What happened to your lips?" 

I gulped when Nayeon asked. She put her thumb on her chin and pretended to be thinking. 

"It was bitten by a mos---" 

"By a penguin." 

Mina answered behind my back. Nayeon started laughing, Jeongyeon was laughing too. 

I don't know if how red are my ears right now.

"What kind of penguin was it, Chaeyoung?" 

Nayeon asked me while still laughing. 

I didn't answer and just finished the beer I'm holding. 

Damn it. 

"I guess you also bit that penguin?" 

Somi came in and looked at Mina. 

She chuckled when I bowed my head. 

"She didn't. She doesn't know how to respond." 

Mina answered for me. She's having fun. 

They all started teasing me and Mina seemed to be enjoying the moment. 

I just drank beer and when I'm almost at my limit of them teasing me, I pull Mina to a private space. 

I even heard them cheer for me. 

"What, Chaebae?" 

Mina clung her arms around my neck and looked at me straight in the eye. 

I'm under the influence of alcohol. 

I stared at her too but I wasn't saying anything. 

"Should we continue it here, Chaebae?" 

Mina asked, obviously teasing me once again. 

I nibbled on my lower lip and the next thing I know, I'm already crying while looking at her.
