Chapter 8

Chaeyoung

"You're drunk again." 

Tzuyu reminded me. Yeah, I am.

"Tzuyu." 

I said and hugged her. Tzuyu caressed my back. 

"You can tell me Chaeyoung. Drinking liquor doesn't dissolve the pain. It only makes you think you forgot about it. It's a trap." 

She said. 

"You still love that Sana." 

I suddenly said. She froze. 

"How did you know her??" 

She asked surprise. Yeah, she only mentioned Sana once when she got drunk.. 

"I met her when you went home." 

Tzuyu looked at me intently. She held my shoulders. 

"Did she say something? I mean.. About me? Something?" 

She curiously asked. Tzuyu lost her cool. 

"She said nothing." 

That made Tzuyu calm down. Is she expecting to hear that Sana mentioned her? 

"How did you even know her?" 

She asked again. 

"I was with Dahyun when we met Sana." 

I uttered. Tzuyu's expression changed again. 

I can't say it's anger. It's more of a disappointment. 

"What's stopping you from being with Sana?" 

I asked when it got quiet.

"You love her. Why won't you pursue her?" 

I asked again. I concluded that based on the photos inside her room. 

The way she's curious about Sana right now. 

"The same way you're stopping yourself from loving Mina." 

She said and looked at me. I avoided her gaze. 

"You love Mina, I knew it. You only shared little information to me about her but it all shows in your eyes Chaeyoung." 

"But just like what I always told you, be careful." 

Tzuyu said and tapped my back. She went inside her room. 

I want to stay away from Mina but I don't think I can. 

I need to be sure she's happy first. In that way, I'll deserve the word "happiness."

" Are you ready for tomorrow? "

Mina asked. She's here at the Library again.

She must be referring to the Club activity. 

"We'll be camping!" 

She said cheerfully. 

I don't know if I should be excited or not. 

"I already listed your name and you need to go with us! And by the way, the Librarian will be the substitute adviser on our club." 

She said. Really, huh. 

"I've been observing you and you're not doing your vlog anymore. The eating show?" 

She chuckled. Tf. It wasn't a vlog.

"I was just eating at that time and talking to a friend." 

I explained but that made her laugh. 

"She needs to be sure I'll eat." 

She laughed more. I know it's weird.

"Must be nice having a friend like that." 

She said. 

"There was this shadow in my dream. It looked like a person but I don't remember. 

I thought it was Somi because she's the closest to me, but I didn't see her in any of the photos my parents showed me. 

My parents don't know some of my friends so they couldn't tell who are my close friends before, aside from those who introduced themselves to me when I got back here.

It sucks at times." 

She added. The loneliness is showing on her face. 

"You have a lot of friends." 

I reminded her. 

"Yeah but it felt like I forgot someone important?" 

She sounded like asking a question. 

"I realized that when you said you don't need a lot of friends.

I do have a lot, but there's someone I'm looking for." 

She said looking at me. 

"It's already your class." 

I reminded her and she was about to run when I told her to just walk. She still has 30 mins. 

She took a deep breath and started walking slowly. 

Like sarcastically obeying what I said. 

"Walk normally." 

I rephrase what I said and that made her chuckle. 

She might trip again if she started running. 

"Don't have any plan telling her who really you are?" 

I was startled when the Librarian suddenly spoke. 

"Don't talk to me." 

I said but she just chuckled. 

"Tell me Chaeyoung, don't you want to be with Mina?" 

She asked and I stopped from what I'm doing to look at her. 

"And what? Ruin her relationship just like what you did?" 

I said but the Librarian smiled again.

"Not everything you hear from someone you trust or love is the reality Chaeyoung. 

Tell me, what do you even know so you could judge me like that?"

She asked.

"I am not judging you. I have my basis. 

Mina lost her memory but I didn't. 

I clearly remember that day Mina said her girlfriend cheated on her. 

And just recently Mina told me she saw you at the hospital where her girlfriend was confined." 

I explained. I'm getting pissed. 

"That's too shallow."

She said and that really pissed me off. 

"You're shallow." 

I said without breaking the stare. 

"We're just the same Chaeyoung. 

The only difference is that I was loved back." 

She smirked and went inside her office.

That was true so I couldn't react immediately. It sucks.
