Chapter 47

Chaeyoung 

After the camp, Tzuyu and I became a lot closer. 

At random times, you'll find us hanging out in the mall. 

Eating at different places. 

Watching movies. 

Drinking together. 

Talking and laughing. 

And the only clear relationship we have is that "we're friends." 

I agree to that. We're friends. 

It's kinda satisfying that we can enjoy each other's company without even trying. 

"So, you won that ticket and you're asking me to go with you?" 

I chuckled when Tzuyu nodded. 

Yeah, there's this event in the University wherein you'll write your name for the raffle and they'll pick the winner and the prize randomly. 

"When?" 

I asked while doing my projects. We're in her condo hanging out today since we both have projects to make. 

"At the end of the school year." 

She said. 

"Ah. Okay then. That's a good chance since I'll be transferring next school year and you'll graduate. 

We never know when will we see each other again." 

I said. Tzuyu went silent. 

"You'll transfer?" 

She asked. I nodded and explained why I have to. 

"But we'll see each other still, right?" 

She said again. 

"Don't let me miss you so much." 

She added. I chuckled and stopped what I'm doing to look at her. 

"We can still talk through phone calls or chats tho." 

I assured her. She smiled and continued what she's doing. 

Tzuyu became vocal too. 

Sometimes, I'll be surprised that she'd tell me what she felt. 

She'll hug me randomly. 

She'll visit me at the Library to give me my lunch or snacks. 

Or sometimes I'll see her looking at me and she won't even be bothered that I caught her looking at me. 

"I invited Dahyun over." 

Tzuyu said. I nodded. Dahyun and Tzuyu are okay. Just being casual towards each other. 

Dahyun didn't come back to Tzuyu's Condo to live together. 

I'm still staying at Doc Jihyo's place. 

I'm glad they're fine. The last news I have about them is that Sana left. 

Before Sana left, Dahyun talked to her. 

Tzuyu and Sana's last talk was the time I saw them here. 

I didn't ask Tzuyu about Sana or I didn't ask her anything related to Sana. 

She did the same. She didn't ask me about Mina or anything related to her. 

Tho there are times that she'll tell me she's still sorry about the accident that happened. 

Everytime, she's drunk.. She'd tell me she really didn't mean to hit us that night. 

She's still not forgiving herself. 

"Hey. Are you with me?" 

Dahyun snapped her fingers in front of me. 

I blinked a few times and greeted her. 

"Yeah. Of course." 

I didn't even notice that Dahyun already arrived. 

"Where's Tzu?" 

I asked when I didn't see Tzuyu here. 

"Ah. She went outside to buy some food. I forgot to bring some." 

Dahyun chuckled and looked at the drawing I'm making. 

"By the way, I saw Mina a while ago.." 

Dahyun paused when I stopped tracing the drawing. 

"Oh. I'm sorry." 

Dahyun said and went back to her seat. 

It's been how many weeks since I heard Mina's name. 

I also haven't seen her since that camp.

I never saw her at the Library or even at the University. 

"What?" 

I asked Dahyun when she chuckled. 

"You still didn't move on from her, Chaeng. 

You just diverted your attention to Tzuyu, but you can't divert your heart from loving Mina."

Dahyun said. I didn't utter anything and just continued what I'm doing. 

I admit, everytime I'm with Tzuyu, I'm really happy. 

But at some point, I'll think about Mina and ask myself "What if she's the one with me right now?

Will I be happier?" 

Those what ifs is just something that's bringing pain to my heart. 

"But seriously, she talked to me yesterday."

Dahyun said. I nodded and focused my attention on my drawing. 

"She learned from Somi that you'll transfer." 

She paused to get some water. 

"She wanted to talk to Tzuyu." 

I looked at her and sighed. 

"Why are you telling me that?" 

I asked. Dahyun shrugged. 

"If they talk and then fight afterwards, which side are you going to choose, Chaeng?" 

Dahyun looked at me smiling. 

For the first time, I got pissed in her smile. 

So I threw her the nearest pillow I grabbed. 

She wasn't able to dodge it and it hit her face. 

I laughed when she yelled. She threw me back the pillow and it went on and on until Tzuyu came in with paper bags on both of her hands. She looked at us in awe.

"What happened?" 

She asked when she noticed the pillows on the floor. 

"I just told Chaeng if whom will she----" 

Dahyun wasn't able to finish what she's saying when a flying pillow hit her face again. 

"I'm hungry. Let's eat." 

I said when I noticed that Dahyun is about to take revenge. 

I got the food from Tzuyu. 

I prepared it on the table and they followed me.

We had meals together just like the old days. 

I'm glad I was able to keep this one.
