Chapter 46

Chaeyoung 

"I hate to admit, but I'm jealous." 

Our attention was fixed on Mina when she read the notes she picked.

She was looking at me. 

"Who wrote that?" 

One of the members asked. No one admitted so I picked the next notes. 

"Thank you for always finding me."

I nodded and smiled. A coincidence. I know who's penmanship was on the paper, so I looked on my left side and whispered. 

"You're welcome."

Tzuyu looked at me too, she's not showing any emotions. 

"That wasn't for you." 

She said, and I just nodded while smiling. 

We can only write something on that note for the person who's here and for those people who are part of the club. 

"That was for Dahyun, then?" 

I asked again. She shook her head. 

"Then that's for me." 

I said and smiled. She's not acquainted with any members of this club except for Mina and I.

And Dahyun who's here. 

"Yeah." 

She admitted and avoided my gaze. 

"I'm sorry that we both fell in love with the same person." 

Serri was the one who read it. I guess it's from Dahyun since she's bowing her head. 

"Oh. There are rivals in here?" 

The President asked and chuckled. Everyone was quiet 'til Dahyun picked up the last note.

"I love you but I already accepted the fact that we can't be." 

That was from me. Mina stared at me, I stared back and smiled at her.

"That's heartbreaking." 

Then the President commented and we proceeded with another activity.

I was just looking at the other members goofing around. 

I listened to their stories, I laughed at their jokes. 

I was able to enjoy the moment, 'til it's sleeping time. 

I'm gonna share the tent with Tzuyu and Mina, since they're my seat mates in the Van when we arrived here. 

Gosh. 

I'm really trying to distance myself from Mina but why do random situations bring me close to her? 

Everyone went in unto their respective tents but the three of us are left staring at the tent where we'll be sleeping. 

This is a bit awkward. 

"Mina, You can go in first. You need rest so your fever will be gone." 

I said and looked at her.

"It's fine. I'll go in later." 

Mina said and turned her back away from us. I sighed and invited Tzuyu to the tent. 

"Will she be okay?" 

Tzuyu asked when we're already inside. The tent isn't that small, it can shelter 3 to 4 people. 

"Yeah. She will." 

I said and closed my eyes. 

"You won't follow her?" 

She asked again. I nodded. 

Few minutes later, Mina came in. 

"There's a lot of mosquitoes that's why I went in quickly." 

She explained even though we didn't ask her. 

She laid down beside me. I'm in the middle. It'll be a bit awkward if I turn to Mina so I chose to turn to Tzuyu's direction. 

I didn't know that she's also going to turn on my side so our nose touched. 

"I'm sorry" 

I said and put a distance between us. Tzuyu closed her eyes so I have a chance to look at her facial features this close. 

She's really beautiful.

And a few minutes after that, I felt my eyes closing and I let myself drift to sleep.

I woke up when I felt that someone is hugging me from behind. 

I opened my eyes and was surprised to find out that Tzuyu isn't inside.

It's Mina who's hugging me. 

I gently faced Mina, she's sleeping peacefully. 

I put the strands of her hair behind her ear so I could watch her face freely. 

I held my chest.

Why does my heart can't stop beating for you? 

Why does this heart is willing to be broken again just to be with you? 

I want to ask her the same question that she threw at me when we arrived here. 

What have you done to me, Mina? 

I wrapped the blanket around her and arranged her pillow. 

I went outside the tent to find Tzuyu. It's 2 AM and she's not wearing any jacket. 

I brought her blanket with me. 

I went to the place where I found her earlier and was surprised to see Dahyun. 

She looked at me and the next thing I know, she's already hugging me. 

I caressed her back. 

"She's in there." 

Dahyun said while pointing the direction of where Tzuyu was earlier. 

"You both are okay, right?" 

I asked. Maybe they talked. 

"Yeah. Maybe I'm just the one thinking we're not." 

She said and smiled. I patted her shoulder. 

She knows that I'm just here. 

I proceeded to Tzuyu's location. I saw her sitting under the tree. 

Just like how I found her earlier. 

I handed her the blanket and she looked up to smile at me. 

"You always find me, really." 

She chuckled and pulled me to sit next to her. 

She shared her blanket with me. 

"Dahyun and I talked. Don't worry we're fine. 

We just need time." 

She paused and rested her chin on her knees. 

"Cupid is really playful most of the time. 

He let us fall in love with the same person.

And sadly, Sana can only choose one or none." 

Tzuyu continued and looked at me. 

"Sana chose me but I can't. I don't want to settle for another break up Chaeyoung. And I don't want to hurt Dahyun too." 

Tzuyu said while staring at me. 

At that moment, I saw through Tzuyu's soul. 

We're the same at some point.
