Chapter 53

Mina

I followed Chaeyoung and Nayeon to the kitchen where the food is being served. I haven't eaten yet. 

Chaeyoung is clinging to Nayeon while Nayeon seems to be happy. 

"Love?" 

Jeongyeon came and gave Chaeyoung a hug. She called Nayeon because of those visitors who arrived. 

We were left alone in the kitchen. 

"You eat a lot of sweets now?" 

I asked when I saw Chaeyoung putting a lot of cake on her plate. 

She didn't answer me. 

"You should eat rice first before those cakes." 

I said again. She looked at me and smiled. 

That smile she used to give me before the accident happened. 

Yeah, I already remembered everything. 

I remembered how much Chaeyoung did everything for me. 

I remembered her smiles. Her laugh. The way she hugs me. 

The way I told her my pains every time Jeongyeon and I break up. 

The way she stood by my side even though I kept on hurting her. 

I was too insensitive back then. 

"Let's share this cake. Give me your plate." 

I heard her say. I handed her my plate and she put rice and viands on it, mostly vegetables. 

"They ran out of plate, so is it okay if we share?" 

I gulped when Chaeyoung's smile widened. 

Why was I too blind to see how beautiful her smile is?

Why was I too blind to notice her deep dimples when she's smiling? 

Why was I too blind to see how expressive her eyes are?

Why was I too blind to see how beautiful she is inside and out? 

I nodded and followed her to the vacant table. 

"By the way, congratulations." 

Chaeyoung said while we're both eating on the same plate. 

This is sweet but I don't know if we're both thinking the same thing. 

"I'm really glad everytime I see you on TV achieving your dreams, Mina." 

She added. Chaeyoung didn't change the way she's talking to me. 

She's not awkward around me so I wonder if she's still feeling the same way I felt for her. 

"I'm glad that you listened to my advice that day. Look at you now, you looked good." 

She became a bit talkative tho. 

"Chaeyoung." 

I called her name when I finished eating, she's not yet done. 

"Can we tal-----" 

I was cut off when Jeongyeon and Nayeon approached us.

"There's someone who wants to meet the both of you." 

Jeongyeon said and someone popped out from her back. 

Somi. Yeah,I  expected her to be here since she's Jeongyeon's cousin.
