Chapter 42

Chaeyoung 

I just wanted to thank Tzuyu for everything.

I let go of the hug and we both looked at the wide space in the middle. It was dark a while ago. 

There, Doc Jihyo was walking. Every step, there's a light turning on. 

I heard Tzuyu's nervous laugh so I looked at her. 

"Ahhh. Okay. Gosh." 

Tzuyu said and laughed hard. 

"You made me nervous, Chaeng!" 

And then she laughed again. 

I don't understand what she's saying but I didn't bother to ask.

I just diverted my attention to Doc Jihyo. There's a band playing a slow song, and then there's KD at the end of the way. 

He's looking at Doc Jihyo while smiling. 

Doc Jihyo is still confused, and when she noticed KD, she stopped and started whining.

"You! What the hell is this?!" 

She shouted so KD will be able to hear her. 

I can't help but laugh. It's just funny. 

Doc Jihyo didn't continue walking towards the end so KD ran towards her instead. 

Every step of KD lights up the way until he reaches Doc Jihyo. 

It's amazing. 

It's like a message that they started in a dark place. 

They walked alone in those roads until they met each other. 

They became each other's light. 

And those lights will guide them even at those darkest moments they'll encounter. 

"Babe, stop crying." 

I heard KD said. Doc Jihyo is literally crying now. She's hitting KD's chest. 

"You. You think I didn't know you're cheating on me?! And now you made this so I can forgive you?!" 

Doc Jihyo suddenly said. I sighed. 

The girl Doc Jihyo saw was KD's sister. I knew it because KD told me about this plan. 

Him proposing to Doc Jihyo. 

"No babe.. That was my sister. She helped me with something. Please listen to me." 

KD tried calming Doc Jihyo but she's still crying, so I grabbed Tzuyu's hand and approached them. 

"Doc Jihyo, Listen to KD, he's telling the truth." 

Doc Jihyo looked at me surprised. She wiped her tears and acted like she didn't cry hard. 

She gave me a smile. 

"I already saw everything." 

I said and laughed when Doc Jihyo started tearing up again. 

We'll, I never saw her break down like what she did a few mins ago, maybe she got shy. 

I pulled Tzuyu to me when I felt that KD is going to talk. 

We sat down a distance away from them. 

"I'm not a perfect boyfriend and I will never be a perfect soon to be husband for you. 

There will be times that I won't be able to say "I love you." but please hope that I'll show it to you everyday. 

There will also come a time that I wouldn't understand every story or every song you'll tell me, but I promise to search and learn them just for you. 

We shared different views in life but I want you to understand mine and I'll understand yours as well.. 

We argue on little things but I'd rather do it with you than with somebody else. 

Jihyo, I know it's only been years since we started being together…

But this time.. I want to start the next year with you being my wife. "

I love how clear KD's speech is. He kneeled down and pulled out a box with a ring on it.

He held Doc Jihyo's hand and looked up. 

"Will you be my wife for the rest of my life?"

Ahhh.. This is too cheesy but it's cute. 

I can really feel how KD loves Doc Jihyo. And vice versa. 

"Yes. Yes Mr. Kang, I'm willing to be your Mrs. Kang." 

Doc Jihyo answered after a few minutes. 

She's sobbing and pulled KD up, she wiped KD's face and hugged each other afterwards. 

After that scenario, I realized the background music. 

Yeah, KD's speech was too sincere that I forgot there's music playing. 

I approached them, Tzuyu followed me. KD thanked me and gave me a smile.

So far, that's the happiest smile he gave me.

Doc Jihyo hugged me tight and thanked me too.

"Doc Jihyo." 

I patted her back so she let go of the hug to look at me. 

"I'm" I handed her one rose. 

"Thankful"  second one. 

"That" third one. 

"I" the fourth one. 

"Met" fifth one. 

"You" sixth one. 

Doc Jihyo started sobbing again and gave me another hug. 

She needs to drink a lot of water. Really. 

"Why do you guys need to be this sweet!"

She said. She's still sobbing. And then she looked at Tzuyu.

Doc Jihyo also hugged Tzuyu and whispered something to her. 

I wasn't able to hear it because she whispered in Tzuyu's ear. 

After what happened, we all went to have dinner together. 

My eyes fuller than my tummy because of the scenery. 

This is just magical. 

I looked at them. Doc Jihyo is staring at KD while KD is slicing the cake. 

And then there's Tzuyu smiling wide at them. 

Ah, this is just so cute. 

I'm glad that Doc Jihyo is happy. 

I'm glad she chose KD.
