𝗕𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗱 || 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗸𝘆𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝘅 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿

28-Ani You're Being Dramatic

(a/n I'm not going to be giving a lot of descriptions about how the house looks on the inside, I figured I could leave that up to your imagination!)

"I can't believe they're forcing me to leave!" Padmè shouts frustratingly as she continues throwing items into a bag.

I'm standing in the doorway of her bedroom, leaning on the doorframe with my arms crossed over my chest, "I know Padmeè but it's for your own protection," I defend the councils decision, "At least until they find the person trying to kill you." After her assassination attempt the council and the chancellor advised that she returns home to Naboo under the protection of Anakin.

She sighed, "The only reason someone is trying to get rid of me is because I'm doing something right." She sat on her bed and put her head in her hands, "I've been working so hard to pass this bill and now I won't even be around to see it happen."

I walked over to sit next to her and placed a comforting hand on her back, "Everything will be okay, you've done your job and the bill will happen. But now you need to focus on staying alive. You'll have Anakin to protect you and we have no doubt your life is in good hands."

After a few moments she looked up to my eyes with a look of guilt,"He didn't seem very happy about his assignment." It's true. When the council told him he'd be going away to Naboo for awhile, he stormed out of the room.

I chuckled softly at the memory of his dramatic tantrums, "He just doesn't like the idea of being away from me again. But he will be okay once he's there and I will make sure to call him everyday so he knows I'm okay."

Suddenly her eyes lit up and I knew she had an idea, "Why don't you come with us! It would make me feel so much better to have you there!" She placed her hand on mine and gave me her best pleading eyes.

I shook my head, even though I loved the idea but I doubt the council would approve, "As nice as that sounds, I don't think they will let me go."

"And why not?" She raised her brows as she crossed her arms, "They told you to take a break and relax didn't they?"

I nodded.

A smirk grew on her lips as she stood up and turned to face me, "What better way to relax than on the most beautiful planet in the galaxy with your best friend?"

Giving in to her stubbornness, I stood up, "Fine but you tell them, they'll listen if it's you."

"Oh I will and they will not take no for an answer, I promise you that." She turned back to her closet to grab more items.

The poor council.

A few hours later all three of us were boarding a service ship to head to Naboo. Padmè discussed me going with Master Yoda and to my surprise he thought it was an excellent idea. He said I could use the time away in a good environment. And if we were to be attacked to let Anakin handle it, although he seemed confident that we wouldn't be. He also suggested that I should meditate everyday and I told him I would.

"I'm so happy you're coming!" Anakin pulled me into a hug the second the doors to the ship closed so no one could see us, except Padme who was a few feet away. I knew he was excited when he found out I was coming but people have been around us the entire time, so he couldn't quite show it yet.

I chuckled, "Thank Padmè, it was her idea."

"No need to thank me," She smiled at us, "After everything (y/n) has been through, I figured a nice romantic get away would do her good." She winked at us and I felt myself blush.
