"Did you send it via email?"

Iris was busy rummaging her desk drawer when she heard Bella's question.

It was a busy day for her. To be exact, this was the day when she was to present a proposal to the company's big shots. It was a very good opportunity for her. She would have a great chance for a promotion if she did well. That was why she spent hours and hours preparing the proposal.

However, the drive where she put the soft copy of the presentation was missing! Not only that. Half of the pages of hard copy of the presentation were also missing!

"I didn't, Bella!" Iris answered as she looked pitifully.

Bella bent down and picked up some of the papers lying on the floor.

"You remember the details, right?" Bella asked her.

"I do. The problem is the table. I spent a day making that." Iris answered.

She did the proposal on her own. Thus, she knew all its nitty-gritty.

However, the most important part of the proposal was the presentation of the numbers. That was why she spent efforts on making a presentable and easy to understand table.

And that very table was missing!

Bella looked as Iris as she continued looking for the missing drive. However, she knew that Iris already realized that someone sabotaged her work.

Bella felt anger inside her. She decided that she would find the thief and make him/her pay for what s/he did!

"Iris, the manager is looking for you." Melinda loudly said before turning around and walking away. She looked like she couldn't even spend a second near Iris.

Iris squinted her eyes to the retreating back before softly sighing.

"I'll go see Mr. Dyer first."

"I heard your proposal is missing?" Ben asked the moment Iris sat on the chair in front of him.

"Yes. The drive where I kept it is missing. The print outs also have missing pages." Iris gently sighed.

Ben observed the beautiful woman in front of him.

Iris was wearing a conservative blue dress and a white scarf. Her head was hanging a little low and she looked down.

She looked like a princess waiting for a prince to save her.

"I can help you." Ben started to say as he looked at Iris' full lips. He didn't know why, but Iris looked more alluring today.

Iris looked up and saw him staring at her lips. Iris' brow furrowed a little before saying, "What do you mean?"

"I can.. help you reschedule your presentation tomorrow. My uncle is the head of the Finance Department. I can ask him for a favor." Ben proudly declared as he looked up and met Iris' eyes.

"But you know.. I'm just a small manager right now. Asking my uncle a favor this big.. it will cost me a lot." He added.

Iris stared back at him and waited for him to finish talking.

"You know that I like you, right? Be my girlfriend and I can bear that burden for you." Ben winked at her.

Iris raised her brow at him as she felt disgusted inside. She never thought that he would be the kind of person that would take advantage of someone who was already down.

"Thank you for the offer, Mr. Dyer. But I can do the presentation today." Iris gave him a stiff smile and stood up.

"Excuse me, I have to go." She added as she walked out of his office.

That scum! I should have kicked him in the nuts! That was sexual harassment.. see how I get back to you! Iris was complaining in her mind when she heard Bella ask,"Do you want me to beat him for you?"

"You followed me?" She gave Bella a surprised look before laughing.

Bella was always expressionless. However, Iris could always feel her caring for her. Thus, Iris pulled her for a quick hug.

"E- I have a problem." Iris sent to her favorite app. She was already feeling down and Ben's fiasco made her feel more terrible.

The reply came almost instantaneously.

"Tell me."

"I have to do a presentation later.. but someone stole my files." Iris replied.

She was hiding in the toilet and holding her phone. In fact, she was very nervous and afraid. This was her very first presentation in the company and it was sabotaged. She blamed herself for being careless.

"Do you need those files?" Elliot replied while motioning Sean to come forward. He was getting ready to help Iris retrieve her files.

"I do.. and I don't. I know every detail in this proposal.. E. But I'm afraid I'll mess it up."

Elliot stared at the message and his heart felt pain for Iris. He could feel her being sad, down, and worried. He replied to her, "You can do it. I believe in you."

Iris bit her lower lip and read E's reply before typing, "You think I can present the data properly even without the table?"

Elliot read her reply and felt himself smile. He knew what Iris can do and he believed in her abilities.

"With all my heart, I believe you can." Elliot replied while thinking, As for those who sabotaged your work.. see how I deal with them.
