Everyone was stunned and rendered speechless at how domineering Elliot looked.

Oscar's face flushed. He felt like Elliot was mocking him when he said "manning up". He unconsciously touched his face as he felt them getting hotter.

Tifanny, on the other hand, swooned at Elliot's words and actions. She gritted her teeth. How was Iris able to capture this man? She thought as her hand turned into fist.

"Oh? Don't you work at Liliana Corp. Iris?" Allie asked as she realized that she didn't know the name of Iris' husband yet.

Usually, a person would introduce his name first on the first instance. However, the man's aura was so intense that everyone did not even realize that they didn't know his name yet.

On the other hand, Liliana Corp. was one of the top corporations in the continent. It was hard to get an employment there even when one graduated from a prestigious university.

"Yes! I work as an advertising officer in the Liliana Corp." Iris proudly said. Her eyes turned into crescents as she smiled.

Elliot looked at her proud face and also slightly smiled. He took a tendril of her hair on her face and tucked in on her ears. The people looking at them swooned once more.

"So hubby works for the Liliana Corp. too?" Tifanny flirtatiously asked. Iris squinted her eyes a little at the tone of her voice.

What hubby? He's my hubby and not yours! She thought. However, she still maintained the amicable smile on her face.

"Well.. to say that he works for the corp is a bit.." Iris bit her lower lip as if she was having difficulty in continuing. Elliot, on the other hand, just looked at her as if he was anticipating her reply.

"The Liliana Corp... actually my hubby o-" Iris started to say when she was interrupted by a loud voice.

"Mr. President! I apologize! I didn't know you would visit!" A chubby man came running. There were tiny drops of sweat on his forehead.

Everyone saw him hurriedly approach Elliot and Iris and greeted them in a respectful manner.

"Mr. President! Mrs. President! It's an honor that you visited our club." He cheerfully said and everyone was taken aback.

Did he mean that the couple owns the club? Everyone thought.

Iris was likewise curious. She tilted her head on the side to look at Elliot and very normally asked him, "Do you own this club, too?"

Elliot gave her nose a little kiss before answering. "It's a subsidiary. It's yours to play with if you are interested." He casually answered.

"Huh?! Owned this?" Someone couldn't take it anymore and interjected with their conversation.

In fact, everyone present came from prestigious families. Most of them owned businesses and corporations. However, most of them also knew that the bar where they were in was the most luxurious bar in the country. Top notch celebrities, politicians, and public figures are often spotted here. Even if one was rich, it didn't mean that they could get a pass inside this bar.

Most importantly, it was common knowledge that this prestigious bar was owned by the giant conglomerate, the Liliana Corp.

"Ah that.." Iris blushed like a cute girl as she shyly said, "My hubby owns the Liliana Corp."

Of course, internally, she was thinking Yes that's right! My hubby is the most amazing! See that, Tifanny! My hubby is the best. MY hubby because he is ALL MINE.

Elliot wasn't interested in other people. He was too busy enjoying Iris' reaction as he guessed what she was really thinking.

Suddenly, Elliot looked at the left side of the bar and got serious. Then, he froze as if he was thinking something very important.

Iris noticed the sudden change in her husband. She tilted her body more so that she was sitting sideward while her upper body was facing him.

"What's wrong?" Iris worriedly asked.

Elliot sighed before he gently kissed her lips as he leaned on her shoulders. His mouth was near her ear when he whispered, "In a while, whatever happens, don't be scared." He solemnly told her as if he was making an oath.

"I will protect you." He added.

Iris blinked as she did not understand his words. She unconsciously gripped Elliot's clothes.

A few seconds later, a loud explosion was heard. Then, fire rapidly surrounded the interior of the club.

People started to scream and panic. Fortunately, men in black uniforms came and orderly guided everyone to the exit.

Iris' former classmates were in a panic too. Some of them held each other and ran to the exit while the others pushed everyone in their way so they could go first.

Iris sharply inhaled at everything before she firmly hugged Elliot who was still sitting on the chair.

"Elliot, hubby.. we should also go." She quickly reminded him as she urged him to stand and let go of her.

Then, she felt Elliot slowly stand with her in his arms. Iris blinked her eyes at his weird actions. However, it greatly surprised her that she was not afraid of the situation. In fact, she felt very safe in his arms.

At this time, most of the people were already escorted out of the building.

Iris licked the bottom of her lip and noticed that the smoke was getting thicker. She was having a hard time seeing.

Suddenly, another explosion was heard as the fire turned way aggressive and tried to engulf everything.

Iris softly gasped and hugged Elliot's neck as she repeatedly blinked and looked around. Surprisingly, the fire was so aggressive but she didn't feel the heat at all.

Iris raised her brows as she tried hard to observe her surroundings. However, her efforts were futile since she couldn't see a thing.

Thus, she gave up and returned her gaze to her husband.

Suddenly, her heart skipped a beat with what she saw. His face looked so magnificent and calm in the sea of fire and smoke. And for a split second, Iris saw his eyes turned bright red.
