"Well done." A clear voice says near the door and it catches everyone's attention.

Lucas confidently marches to the throne as his eyes are deeply looking into mine. He stops when he is a foot in front of me and takes my hand to give it a kiss. His lips linger on my fingers for a while before he let go and sits beside me.

"As you see, my lovely mate has just shown everyone how the energies of the world are used." He addresses the crowd.

"Now, if any of you wanted to see more, I am more than happy to oblige." Oppressive and imposing aura suddenly came from him as he looked at the nasty guy earlier.

The latter flinches and takes a step backward. "No no! We believe you! We believe you!" He immediately says while shaking his hands. Lucas, on the other hand, just keeps on glaring at him. It is only when Tristan clears his throat that the silence in the hall is broken.

"The reason for all of us gathering here is not because the were-council has decreed so. The reason is that most of the packs are incapable of protecting themselves against the "were-likes.""Tristan explains, knowing full well that Lucas is not in the mood to explain it himself.

"You all have read the reports. The "were-likes" are twice as strong as a regular wolf. But, that is not the problem. The problem is their almost perfect regenerating abilities. They heal so fast that you won't be able to put a scratch on them. We are willing to impart to you the method on how to deal with them." He continues.

"If you don't want to, we are not forcing you and you can go on your way back to your packs. Just to let you know, a "were-like" is basically a werewolf that was stripped of his humanity. The wolf who lost all his rationality and is being controlled by dark magic." Tristan adds, finishing his explanation.

By that time, Lucas seems to have let the nasty guy go and turns his attention to the crowd.

"So that's all there is to say. Everyone who wants to cooperate is welcome to stay. Those who don't want to can go now." Lucas declares.

Sometimes, the less you talk, the more it is effective. Or shall I say that it's just because of Lucas?

After his declaration in the hall earlier, all of the Alphas stayed and expressed their willingness to cooperate. Also, it is a major factor that the strongest packs lead by Alpha Sebastian, Craig, Brandon and Tane declared their intention to stay without a hint of hesitation. This made the Alphas of the smaller and weaker packs to hesitate and think it through. After a bit of deliberation and questions, they all pledged to cooperate.

After the deliberation, the were-council finally made an appearance and declared that everyone should move to the Amaya forest. Amaya forest is located in the northern side of the Black Mist Pack and is huge enough to house hundreds of thousands of wolves. In fact, this was the very same historical forest where the war from history occurred. If it happens according to the plan, it seems that this forest is indeed destined to be the venue for the war of werewolves.

The gathering ended quickly to enable the Alphas to return to their pack and move their packs to the forest as soon as possible. The pack will be moving the latest since we are nearest to the forest.

"You sent your sister to the forest to scout?" Lucas asks. We are currently having dinner in the pack house.

"Yes, Alpha. My sister's squad consists of the fastest wolves. They can make a round in the forest in one night and return before this morning." Tristan answers.

"Your sister, huh." Lucas says. On his stoic face is a bit of a weird expression. "It might be dangerous. The "were-likes" who attacked the pups the other day have not yet been hunted."

"I know. It's.. Annie wanted to do it." Tristan replies. Worry can be clearly heard from his voice.

"She seems to be frustrated the last few weeks." I interject. Both of them turn to look at me. I am surprised at how I just naturally butt in a completely irrelevant matter. I take a gulp on my glass to hide my embarrassment. Tristan sighs while Lucas gives me a low chuckle before he takes my hand in his.

"You are right, Luna. Annie has been frustrated that she doesn't possess the ability to control the energies so she wants to do something to make her feel useful. I can't understand it. Not being able to control the energy doesn't lessen her worth. She is already very amazing." Tristan says with a low voice.

"You are very concerned about her." Lucas points out as he raises his brow to Tristan.

"Of--of course! She's my sister after all!" Tristan suddenly says in a raised voice. His face seems to turn red.

Huh? He is embarrassed of showing his concern to his sister? I furrow my brows together as I think of this. Lucas, on the other hand, chuckles again as he pet my hair. "You will not be able to understand it now, my love." His attention seems to have shifted to me again.

I give him a pout and take his hand away from my hair.

Suddenly, I feel a sharp pain on my legs and my stomach. Lucas notices it and he takes me in his arms in an instant.

"What is the matter, love?"

"Lucas, somebody is hurt." I answer and Tristan hurriedly stands and knocks off his chair.

"Alpha." He gives Lucas a hard look. Lucas, on the other hand, returns to him a small nod.

"I put on a barrier over the territory. No one can go in without me knowing." Lucas says.

"Then, the one who was hurt is outside the territory."

"Yes. Only Annie's squad is outside." Lucas confirms.

In a flash, Tristan has already run out without us. Lucas gives a deep sigh beside me before pulling me closely.

"Let us go too. We can't afford to let Annie hurt." He tells me as he carries me and runs after Tristan.
